The NFL's first team All Pro kicker from 2018 is moving on after one season in New York. Expect a handsome payday for Myers.

I take it we aren’t going to sign Coleman either?

Nah, he has been too productive in his career for the Bears to apparently have interest in him this year. We are dumpster diving for guys that have done very little in the NFL that we hope to turn into studs.

Gostkowski and Myers are both FAs. Pace take your damn pick and stop messing around with the kicker position.

We will see where Myers ends up. Very good kicker with the Jets.

OLB
J.Houston--Probably gonna be too much for us unfortunately.
C.Mathews
N.Perry
Jamie Collins--Can he play OLB in a 3-4 or is he a ILB in a 3-4?
A.Lynch--I know he played well for us but whenever he was not playing for Fangio is when his character and weight issues were there.
S.Ray
S.Barrett
M.Golden
A.Okafor
B.Irvin
C.Barwin--nice older vet

S
HaHa
T.Boston
G.Quinn
J.Addae
A.Sendejo--Was cut so if we are still in the race to get comp picks then he would be a good signing.
D.Stewart
C.Geathers

RB--If we do really plan on trading Howard
T.Coleman--most likely not gonna happen
M.Ingram--most likely not gonna happen
S.Ware
TJ Yeldon

It's a good thing that there's a good amount of good named free agents at those 3 positions.

Former Saints’ RB Mark Ingram intends to sign a three-year, $15 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, per @diannaESPN and me.

Wow, $5 mil per for Ingram. That's a great deal for Balt.

Not as long as we still have J.Howard on the team. I can't see us signing a big name like that, maybe another lower level name but not the top RB left in Coleman.

Who could the next safety off the board be? The #Redskins would like to bringing back S Ha Ha Clinton Dix, source said, and they are working to do that. Would be Landon Collins and Clinton Dix if this gets done.

Lol, isn't the issue that we are talking about Skrine, CP and Davis? It is one thing giving up comp picks for proven good players as opposed to giving it up for guys who jave largely been filler. Not saying that we will end up losing comp picks for those guys as they may be just bad enough that they don't factor into the comp calculation but don't think this comp talk would be an issue if we actually got more proven players. They may end up working out in the long run but as it stands right now, there are filler.

The Bears signed a guy with versatility that adds speed to the offense and creates mismatches when on the field with Cohen, Gabriel, etc. Add to that the fact he was 3rd in the NFL in kickoff returns, 50% better than Bears kick returners. He won't be the primary weapon on offense by any means, but the fact he was used as WR, RB and his kick returns make him more than "filler" by a long shot.

Why do we consider a RB as "filler"? Because he is not a big name? Fans would rather have a name than a fit. (I don't mean Leveon Bell - he was superproductive, but too expensive for us). but fans would have been fine with Ingram who is Howard with fumblitis. Davis in the backfield will not be just filler.

Skrine? Well, I do expect he more or less is filler in the sense that he will play where Callahan played. I don't have reason to believe he is a great signing by any means, but I will just say that he sucked on the outside but won't play there. Callahan was not as good there either. (That's why nicklebacks are nicklebacks) But you do need to put someone in that spot, so if they were able to do it with a FA, it saves a draft pick in a year when we don't have many. But, no, Skrine id not some significant addition.

Quinn didn’t have 7 interceptions last season. He actually had zero.

From you list I would like Irvin as a situational pass rusher.

Not sure if I would want to invest anything significant for any of those safeties

If we keep Howard I would just draft a rb and leave those fa be. If we are dead set on trading Howard I would like a draft pick and yeldon

I like a lot of the names on the OLB list especially as a 3rd OLB and i also think there's a few safeties that i'd be very happy with to replace Amos but we could just go in house and let D.Bush and DHC fight it out for the job. I'd be fine with keeping Howard and drafting a RB in the 3rd or 4th round.

Jets Pro Bowl kicker Jason Myers is leaving to sign with a new team as a free agent. The #Vikings expressed interest in Myers but didn't have the money to sign him, so he's not going there. And I'm told he's also not going to the Bears.

well that sucks.
