dweebs is usually a gr8 poster and one of my personal top 7 posters but I agree, lavian Bell>>>>>Mark Davies
Bell is a better running back, but not worth ten million more.

Matt Bowen

Skrine is an aggressive, physical CB who plays his best in the slot. Quick feet + speed. Will show up vs. the run game, too. Can get grabby in coverage (penalties). And the technique needs to be more consistent. But as a Nickel CB, the traits are there to fit in Bears D.

Hoping for some @MattBowen41 commentary on Buster Skrine

Guessing Skrine loses the slot CB job by mid-season next year.

I think there is going to be a surprise signing when free agency opens for the Bears, especially after adding more cap space today.

People need to relax. While the last few years of big spending in free agency has been fun, it is not a long term strategy to build a team. Pace has said it himself that he prefers to build through the draft. We now have the talent in place to be successful at this. Perennial playoff teams like the pats and steelers have perfected this. Develop home grown talent, let the market over pay, receive comp picks, draft more talent to develop. This is how teams are able to stay competitive at the top in the salary cap world.

Yeah, they did everything but sit and take the comp picks...don’t get it

How would everyone feel if we got Gipson? I feel like people would get off the ledge.

Would really be great to see a young DB step up like that and beat him out.

Remy is really hoping for this to go wrong or really any Pace moves cause he's been so wrong about him for years and has been trying so hard especially with the ARob signing. That's alright cause the real Bears fans that don't like the Skrine signing are still hoping it works.....i think/hope.

Would be a great signing but i still see him getting at the very least $7 and more like $8 mil per and not sure if we can afford that with other moves still needed.

Maybe the Bears freed up some loot for possibly signing Stephen Gotskowski if things dont work out with Amos etc either.

Former Dolpins’ OT JaWuan James intends to sign a four-year, $52 million deal that includes $32 million guaranteed with the Denver Broncos, per source.

Bobbie Massie is a steal for the Bears.

Packer Report
@PackerReport
Adrian Amos remains unsigned. Packers are in the mix for the Chicago safety

Aaron Leming - "Over the cap currently has the #Bears at $16M in cap space. That counts Skrine's $3.66M cap hit & Braunecker's $1M.

Will need to see Davis' overall hit but would guess they'll be sitting around $14M after all three moves today."
