Why is he even targeting the Bears? They’re not even in the same division.
Loser mentality. His team wasn't much better, didn't do anything to get better, and so he's deflecting. He clearly notices the positive moves being made elsewhere and he mad.

Same old Cowboys in 2025. See you in Chicago, Seedy Lamb.

I was just about to post to redeem myself since I posted a fake account last time, lol.
That's a whole lot of money poured into the QB and 2 WRs. I get re-signing Chase but not paying Higgins that much money to be a #2. Meanwhile, they gave Gesicki $8.5 mil AAV this offseason too.

Yeah that’s too much imo. They shouldn’t have signed Higgins

That's not a friendly contract

The bears are finally doing it. I've bitched about their stupidity for 15-20 years since the CBMB days, only OmeletPants knew I was CClanConan bitching about Compensatory draft picks and explaining how to align contracts, trade to plug roster holes in non buy years, and have purchase crazy years where you do all your shopping for the next two or three years.

The bears are aligning contracts to all run out in 3 years. Yes, it's partly for Caleb, but it will also allow them to extend the positions they need and haven't found draft picks to hit for between then and now, while allowing some free agents to hit the market at the same time,

I am telling you now they will let several people walks to afford Caleb, and not buy anyone in free agency that year, but land a windfall of draft picks.

The Divine knowledge has finally entered Halas Hall. Compensatory picks are coming. OMG.

There’s a post of yours I bookmarked about 4 years ago but the thread is locked. You were talking of the brilliance of New England and their compensatory draft picks. You said to check in on that plan in about 5 years. Doesn’t seem like the strategy is all it’s cracked up to be

I'll take Bill Belicheks 10-12 draft picks per year and throw darts for selections and still do better than Ryan Pace and Ryan Poles 4-5 measly picks.

It's impossible to compete with franchises doing it if you don't.

I always said Poles could learn and give him time. This is the most important thing he could learn. He's doing it. He's aligning contracts. I am certain the knowledge has finally entered the building and it's a joyous day, meanwhile you are attacking me because your a piece of shit.

Poison in poison out. Contentedness can only come from within.

With how easy it is to create space with the cap, I figure they’ll make it work, but I’d be more tempted to trade Higgins to get the assets to build out a roster than keep him. On some level, if I have a special QB being paid top dollar, I expect him to not need two of the highest paid WRs in the league. But, I suppose the Colts did it.

Exactly. Meanwhile you're talking about trading one of the best pass rushers in the game the last few years. Is having Chase + Higgins without Hendrickson that much better than having Chase + a guy like maybe Amari Cooper for a year or two and definitely having Hendrickson?

I wouldn't doubt if they end up re-signing Trey Hendrickson next.

The ultra-inflated QB contracts of $45-55+ million per year seemed shocking, yet somehow sustainable with their importance to the game and the way the cap was increasing.

But now with several other position groups starting to crack $30-40+ million? Gonna be interesting to see how that math correlates with winning the next 3-5 years.
