They blew a 2-0 and 3-1 lead. Two goal lead TWICE! This is the team that was going to sweep us.

They gave up 4 goals last night. And learned the Hawks are NOT the Penguins.

Long way to go but the Hawks are certainly no PUSH OVER and the Bruins now must realize that.

Shaw--- Embellisher Julien? That just makes me laugh. Did he see the way Chara went down like a rock from Froliks tap?

Right, I can hear the whining continue if they go down 0-2.

It's an east coast thing. They blew 2 two goal leads. Had numerous opportunities in OT to win the game.

They just didn't close it out. These playoffs remind me of 1992 finals where Hawks swept nemesis Oilers 4-0.

Then in game 1 of finals blew huge lead and lost when Jagr scored in last minute or so. Then Hawks lost next 3.

Not saying Hawks are going to sweep this series but lots of similarities; specially after last night.

Funny he didn't say a peep about that when he was talking to us after the game. Not one word. I suppose it's selective depending on who he's in a conversation with.

NBC has the worst studio crew of all time. Milbury thinks he is Don Cherry Jr. Sorry Mike, there is only one Don Cherry.

Bring Weekes on the NBC broadcast, the guy is the best analyst in the world right now and he's hidden on NHLN.

Easily one of the best games I have ever seen. Not as good as the 7-5 Van v hawks with Bulin and Loo, but way up there.

My favorite teams
 1. Portland Timbers
 1. Chicago Blackhawks
Yes, this one was a war of attrition. It was the hockey version of the Battle of Ypres.

Still, it was only 1 game and really was that close. Boston is still the toughest nut to crack.

But this game will go down in the annals of Hockey History.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to sacrifice a few sweatertuckers to the Father Enforcer (Probert), the Son Enforcer (Boogard), and the Holy Coach (Brooks).

honestly i love the team we had in the Kings series. I could go with either Doc or the other guy, but honestly sometimes i prefer the other guy who called the Kings series cuz his voice is more soothing, not all fucking screechy with made up stupid fucking words AND names now, apparently. Englom and Pang are ESPN pre-lockout vets they are a world better than pierre and eddie.

JR/Weekes/Melrose/McClennan and even Mike Johnson (despite always going against the Hawks) are better than MIlbury and Jones

Dave Strader is an outstanding play by play man. Gives you the game straight with no gimmicks.

He is the voice of the Pheonix Coyotes so he is probably thrilled to do these games where more than 100 viewers are tuned in.

Agreed, I like Dave Strader. He used to do Detoilet's games and he disappeared from their telecasts a number of years back. Seems he was not enough of a homer for Mickey Redneck's liking.

I cannot stand Doc "Mute button" Emrick...only one I can think of worse was Gary Thorne.

Doc does have a way with words though... just most of the time too much.

He tries to make the simplest things sound complex.

I did enjoy his analogy of Shaw/Chara as a 2nd grader pestering a 6th grader lol.

Strader got moved out so homer of all homers Ken Daniels could become play by play guy for the Red Wings.

Daniels was so bad as Hockey in NIght in Canada fill in play by play guy they were happy to have him leave.

Doc sucks. he makes up his own hockey lingo too much. There really are no good play by play guys out there on television. They all are on the radio. Once you get on television all the network executives kill these guys and turn them into stooges or their egos get to big and all they want to do is hear the sound of their own voices and make shit up that separates them from the other guy. Bob Cole is the only guy left on any television has has the voice for the game..but hes too old now and can't call a game worth shits without botching players names. Also too many guys on tv seem like they cant wait for a whistle to throw out some sort of bullshit theory or in the case of the CBC guys right now..talk about the penguins and themselves.

I rank play by play guys on how they can make you see the game when you are not looking at the television screen. If a guy can make you see the play and the game in your head while not watching then thats a good play by play guy. It's why Wiedeman is so great. I want him on the tv but im worried that when he does get that bump that he will be ruined like all the rest of them.

Don't get me started on the color commentators either. And there are waaaay to many guys involved in a game now. why do we need 4 guys yapping back and forth during a game telling their stories of "when i used to play the game" all while someone is in the studio reading fucking useless tweets? Hockey broadcasting has gone to shit. 2 guys in a booth is all you need. dont need idiots btw team benches and don't need 3 guys in a booth. 2 guys...that's it. Hockey is trying to broadcast like football and its fucking silly. Too many voices no one is watching the game on the ice anymore.

yah im in a mood.

Oh **** the guys that did the kings series boring mofos. I'll be honest I'm shocked at the hate doc gets, I think he calls a great game, the way he calls the game he could make chess interesting. As for screechy....listen to the bolts guy, he screams like a madman when they score.

might be boring (relative) but at least Strader (thats his name, i forgot) is really smooth and straight up good. Classy microphone voice and he gets excited for good plays when he needs to... I like Doc dont get me wrong, but prefer strader.

Englom and pang are by far better than eddie and Mcguire.
