Very well said. I agree completely.Game 1 was almost a complete toss up with the Bruins getting the better chances in OT. Blackhawks escaped with a win in many ways, but neither team really deserved to lose. One of the best games I have ever watched, a whole lot of fun.
Anyone acting as if the Blackhawks simply overpowered or outmatched the Bruins need to open their eyes. Thought it was very evenly played for the most part.
This series is going to be great and the Blackhawks have to improve in the second game if they are going to go up 2 - 0. Toews, Hossa, Kane and Sharp need to step up and get the production going. Defense has to tighten down on the turnovers, thought Rozsival struggled at times but the Blackhawks rely heavily on their #6 so he will need to improve.
Can't wait for this game to get underway.
We played bad and still won. Hopefully Toews,Kane,Hossa or Sharp will contribute next game.
ha! i tell my wife all the time that they should pretend they arent on a powerplay. its unreal how they drop off on the advantage.2-1 Hawks. If we get a PP, just pretend it is still 5 on 5 and just get pucks to the net with bodies in front. Toews's line just needs to shut down their line. The rest of the team can concentrate on scoring. Hopefully, Horton sits out... That top line of theirs has 57 total points this post season!!
I expect the scoring chances to down dramatically as these teams continue to play each other, so goals will be at a premium. Crawford has been stellar.
Looks like Horton's a go this evening, for how long remains a mystery:
"Citing sources with knowledge of the situation, WEEI reports that Horton's shoulder has regularly popped out of its socket over the course of the 2013 playoffs. He is expected to undergo a procedure to tighten the socket at the conclusion of the Stanley Cup."
