Nothing the officials can do if they make a run at him and lay a good clean hit on him. Nothing wrong with doing that, and one of the big reasons why teams will not state more that upper body or lower body when talking about injuries. Knowing that it is a shoulder injury will allow someone to line him up for a hit along the boards at some point.

These are NHL officials....the ones that are neck n neck with NBA officials in the race for the most ineptness in pro sports. I wouldnt trust them to be crossing guards.

I trust them just a little bit more than the ironically named Department of Player Safety. I mean that group is a joke.

2-1 Hawks. If we get a PP, just pretend it is still 5 on 5 and just get pucks to the net with bodies in front. Toews's line just needs to shut down their line. The rest of the team can concentrate on scoring. Hopefully, Horton sits out... That top line of theirs has 57 total points this post season!!

I expect the scoring chances to down dramatically as these teams continue to play each other, so goals will be at a premium. Crawford has been stellar.

Psst ... Toews' line isn't the one with that assignment

Lines remain the same: Hossa-Toews-Saad, Kane-Handzus-Sharp, Shaw-Bolland-Bickell, Bollig-Kruger-Frolik.

I'm thinking the Hawks lose tonight, hoping they win.

Note the difference.

The first half of your prediction is wrong? :troll:

If only younger people would listen to older people about what not to do when they are young...

Stubborn invincibility.

This whole thought makes me wonder why someone would let their kid play football.

Because there are a lot of hard lessons in life that no longer get taught anywhere but on the football field. But that's an argument for another day and, more importantly, a different thread.

Back to hockey though. While there's still a long list of players who would be better utilized in a Hawks' sweater tonight, I have to say that Bollig played a decent game the other night. Mainly, he didn't take any stupid penalties and didn't force any turnovers that led directly to a goal. He's got a low bar, but I thought he reached it.

Is it bad that I am feeling a little anxiety already, and the game doesn't even start for about three and a half hours?

I wish they would just drop the puck already.

It's playoff hockey. Even worse, it's the Stanley Cup Final. It's perfectly normal.

I'm hoping the Hawks score first tonight. The game is a lot easier for me to watch when they are ahead, but I'm confident they can win either way. They seem to play better late in the game than they do early.

I can't believe tonight's game isn't on NBC and my cable package doesn't have NBC Sports Network. I'm off to http://firstrow1.eu/sport/ice-hockey.html now, hoping I can find a good stream ...

I have to say, Doc Emerick is one of the best national announcers across the 4 major sports.

I can't buy it...no complaints :p

What do you drink?

Preferably a darker beer. Have some stout in the fridge. Can't remember what it is off the top of my head, but I will get back to you on it when I crack one open after a bit.
