I would like to see taj and pau out there together more often.
All in all, I think you gain more than you lose by cutting his minutes.
That's my bottom line.
I'm not saying he can't pass, I'm saying that it makes it harder. Kudos to him for getting those 4 assists with 0 turnovers. I'm glad he did. But when he's also at least a threat to hit a shot or two, it opens everything up more. Maybe he'd get 7 assists instead of 4.
Free throws should have nothing to do with his knees. He doesn't use them on his free throw. He's shooting 7% from the line. I don't care if you have no knees, you can probably shoot better than that.
I don't think he's been as bad as others say, but his play has dipped and it makes things harder for the team. Yes he can still give you some positives, but if you're blowing layups, something needs to be addressed.
Did his knee suddenly make him go from 60% in the regular season to 7% in the playoffs?yeah, youre one of the few keeping a realistic perspective on him at least. the only thing i disagree with you on is the impact his knee is having on his free throws. i mean how else do you explain him falling off the earth on his free throws? i don't believe he just started sucking at them out of the blue....the knee has definitely impacted that

If its worse. Shut him down.maybe it has gotten worse?? untreated health issues do tend to deteriorate over time when not treated. otherwise, you explain to me then what has caused it?
Confidence, wrist injury that we never heard of, or some other ailment are all plausible causes for sudden suckage from the line. I know it's not his knee because he doesn't use his knees. Or if he does, it's only barely. You don't go from 70% to 60% to 7% from the free throw line because of your knees. It just does not happen. It may be a mix of things that we have no idea of, but I have no reason to even suspect his knee being a factor.yeah, youre one of the few keeping a realistic perspective on him at least. the only thing i disagree with you on is the impact his knee is having on his free throws. i mean how else do you explain him falling off the earth on his free throws? i don't believe he just started sucking at them out of the blue....the knee has definitely impacted that

This sounds like Reggie Evans at bestthat's a pretty black and white look at it. again, he is still helping the team in other ways. how do you feel about this stat line from a PF?
5.1 ppg on 37% shooting and 60% free throw shooting. 12.4 rebounds 2 assists 1.7 turnovers 0.7 steals 0.6 blocks and efficiency of 101 on offense and 100 on defense

I don't buy it. Noah used to play 40+ minutes a night and drain FTs easily. If he's too tired to hit FTs, he's too tired to play. His knee is a factor in the sense that he has to labor more on both ends, expending more energy which has a BIG effect on free throws.
Refs have shafted Derrick his whole career, but this is ridiculous. If anyone on the team has a right to whine about no calls, it's Derrick.Personally I don't give two shits about Noah's FT struggles. I care more about Kyrie getting to the line 21 freakin' times to Derrick's ZERO. That has to change and change now. Maybe he gets at least 1 attempt tonight.
Thibs is making a big deal of Rose not going to the line, I expect him to get to the line tonight. His knee is a factor in the sense that he has to labor more on both ends, expending more energy which has a BIG effect on free throws.

They're actually pretty comparabletry again....

Imo it almost has to be a wrist issue because there's no way even the most tired of players would drop from 70% to 7%.They key to that is health. He was healthy when playing those minutes so his energy level was still up. Having to labor more will effect him.
But hey who knows, maybe he does have a wrist injury. Jo has a history of concealing and downplaying injuries to his own detriment and the detriment of the team. It's the only knock I have on the guy. There's some to be said about being a warrior out there but when it's clear that it's having a negative effect on the team, it becomes a troubling issue.
They're actually pretty comparable
Per 36 (because Reggie Evans sucks and only plays 16 minutes a game)
8.3 points on 42% shooting, 61% free throws, 14.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1 steal, .2 blocks, 103 offensive efficiency, 106 defensive efficiency
If we had Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen on the team, I doubt I'd complain about Noah.ha yeah i wasn't implying reggie evans doesn't put up similar numbers. the stat line i listed above was dennis rodman's playoff per 36 the year we went 72 - 10. yet, im pretty sure everyone here would agree that rodman brought great value to the bulls. yet he only had a 101 and 100 efficiency ratings and couldn't hit a shot to save his life, even worse than Jo has been.
FWIW, currently noah has the best defensive efficiency rating of his career at 95....so hes definitely still bringing something to the table that is helping us win games.
