Uh yeah. For >2m a year from a backup defensive specialist center, that is actually hard to beat.

That's the thing... He's not even a defensive specialist.

I don't think it was a flagrant. He didn't rip him to the floor and didn't go after his head. It was more of wrapping him around the collarbone/neck area and didn't do it maliciously. For flagrant, force has to be unnecessary or excessive and I've seen the play multiple times, he was just trying to stop him before he got a shot off.

TNT had a good breakdown of the final few seconds.

Asik is a defensive Beast who has owned Wade many times haters gonna hate!

OMG he's owned Wade "Many Times".... ZOMG he blocked him. I guess anybody that's blocked someone in the NBA is a defensive beast.

Hakeem
Mutombo
Ben Wallace
David Robinson
Kevin Garnett

Asik is not on that level.

He owned Wade though.

Asik is just HUGE. H U G E. Nothing more nothing less. His body make him a very good defender and a good rebounder. Thibs added some spice in this too. I don't think we could ask something more from our bench center. I really DON't believe that the Bulls bench is the best bench in the NBA. A good one. But not the best. But I DO believe that Asik is the best bench C in the NBA right now or one of the best if I forget someone. If we had a second superstar at SF or SG, Asik would have been a great starter too.

I guess I shouldn't have said defensive Beast because all those guys are hall of famers. I should of said Asik a good defensive Center one of the best bench Centers in the NBA.

The best I have seen Asik play is last year against Miami. They couldn't score when he was in the game. He outperformed Noah in that series...however, he is inconsistent offensively to the point that he will most likely be a specialist of sorts. He has to improve his offensive game.

Asik is big, not more!

I truly believe he cost us about 8 points per game on a regular base for not catching the ball or not going up strong!

If he has to go I´m not too sad if we keep Taj instead!

I don't think this is a surprise to anyone. Asik can literally barely catch a pass, let alone just go straight up for a dunk. Asik has no offensive game whatsoever. So obviously, he must improve. At the very least, he has to learn to catch the pass and go up right away. None of that pump faking 3 times and getting stripped garbage. I hope in the offseason someone works with him on that if nothing else.

Taj is just flat out better in every facet of the game. No issue keeping Taj over Omer. Honestly, I hope Taj is a Bull for life. I love his work ethic and hustle. He can be a defensive monster at times (and very good the rest of the time) and when he and Noah are in the game together we get a rather insane amount of offensive boards. Obviously if the price was right, I'd trade him too, but until that situation I'm all for keeping Taj a Bull forever. :crazydance:

Taj, Asik and Butler must stay. If we can't fine someone better than him, Korver must stay too. Everyone else is easily replaceable. In my opinion we must try to trade Boozer and Noah including Brewer and CJ Watson in the package to land a big guy who can be aggressive around the rim and will demand a double team. We are a good defensive team, a good rebounding team, a good passing team, a good 3pt team, we have the best in penetration in the league but WE DON'T have a STARTING big guy who can be aggressive and score easy baskets. I don't know if it is possible but we must try to land someone more aggressive. Noah's defense can be replaced by Taj and Asik.
