Taj might be here another year...this coming season is the last year on his contract before the big contract would kick in...whatever that is. By that time, Boozer will have two years on his contract.

Look at the big picture. Asik develops a semblance of a game and continues to improve, Noah then becomes expendable.

Noah has added a new gimmick but hasn't improved his game offensively enough.

I am going to say what I said in 2007 about that team. EVERYBODY IS EXPENDABLE.

I believe that if we try to match up the talent of the Heat in superstars then we are seriously fucked. That can't happen. Our only plan must be to build a team with Rose or Rose + another superstar and 8 more above average players with 3 of them being a lot above average like Deng and Noah. BUT the best way to beat the heat is to have 2 superstars in the positions the Heat suck (PG and C) and 3 very capable players in the other positions (Deng,Taj and Hamilton are OK).

To sum up: We must try to trade Howard with everything and everyone but Deng,Taj and Hamilton. Whatever we keep from Asik,Butler and Korver would be nice.

Or we must try to trade for the no1 pick this year for Davis or we must take the risk of Greg Oden.

To be honest, I'm not sure that even with an improved offensive game that I would take Asik over Noah. It would take a lot of improvement from Omer for me to start thinking that Noah was expendable in that sense. Now of course everyone is expendable in terms of getting a guy like Howard or whoever else to be that #2 star on the team, but until then I'm sticking by Joakim.

Yes let's do this because it's just that simple.

We need Howard, look at how much he helped the Magic in the playoffs, oh wait.

That....makes no sense. WHEN HEALTHY....Howard took a team to the Finals...when healthy. No player can help the Magic with a back injury that requires surgery...no player.

So are you making a joke out of needing a player that can grab 15 boards a game and can score 20ppg as a legit low post threat? I am sorry, but there is no Hakeem, Robinson or Wilt on this team. So it makes no sense to summarily dismiss possibly acquiring Howard.
