Easily one of the more enjoyable/better games I have been to in a while.

Ducks still controlled the play at times but Crawford/Hawks were able to weather the storm. Ducks are a damn good team and they continue to prove it.

Give some credit to Q tonight. Made the swap with Kane/Hossa early on and putting in Rundblad also was a smart move at the end of the day.

Can't wait for Saturday, going to be a great game. Half of me wants a blow out by the Hawks and the other half wants a complete nail biter.

Once again we give the coach credit for doing what people have been calling for the entire fucking series???? Here's the world's softest fucking golf clap, for the Hawks' GENIUS coach, who listens to the suggestions of the message board warriors days after they post what he SHOULD be doing. Bravo Q. Bravo.

Again, this team wins in spite of him. It still remains to be seen whether or not his MASSIVE FUCKUP with the lineup in game 3 costs this team a shot at the cup. Saturday will either condemn him for his poor coaching in the last two WCF's, or the players will bail him out.

Yeah, because the hockey gods and the refs got them back in the game and because we refuse to exit the zone through the middle, we just bang it blindly on the boards

This ended up a blow-out, just like it should have stayed

This post, ladies and gentlemen, gives some credence to accepting "self asphyxiation".

B. Boudreau is saying the Ducks lost their composure for the first time in this series after the goal by the Manchild. Andersen is clearly on edge. Hawks need to draw first blood in game #7 and take control.

Q also matches Toews against Getzlaf instead of Kesler this game, and what do you know....

Another thing he should have been doing at home the entire series.

Toews kicked Kesler's butt in games 2, 3 and 4. His line also had terrible possession numbers for the few times they were matched up against Getzlaf

Sounded awfully quiet for substantial periods on the broadcast. Was that the case there?

Yes and no. I'd say that fans were certainly on the edge of their seats in the first period, knowing (for the most part) that a simple bounce could help end the season. You'd hear a lot of moans and groans when there were close calls and bounces. Probably wasn't picked up on NBCSN. Second period was absolutely as loud as can be once the goals started to pour in.

You must have watched a different game than I did.... then again your analysis is pretty shitty anyways.

Best trade by Stan at the deadline was easily Desjardins. He is quietly having a nice playoffs. Playing his role and doing exactly what he needs to do out there. Brings a nice presence at time and makes the simple/smart play.

Vermette is coming around and having some moments...and Timonen, well yea.

How do you figure? Please explain. Also, in those games...I'm pretty sure the Getzlaf line scored with the Kruger line on the ice 4 times?

I appreciate your concern. I was at the game and was just giving my personal opinion based on a question from another poster. Thanks though.

Agreed 100 percent and never would've guessed that at the deadline.

I actually mentioned that earlier to my uncle. I liked Ben Smith, but man Desjardins has been great on that 4th line.

While it's a bit surprising how the Desj trade has been the best, that ones actually in a way the most critical for being the best. Sure Smiths season was disappointing and the PK was slumping prior to the trade, but it's the only trade that took away a player who would be involved this post-season. I haven't been the biggest fan of Saad being the #2 with Kruger on the PK but it did lead to that nice PK goal before and gives that element to both units while at least Desj is generally now in that 5th PKer role Saad had before.

I'm glad Smith got his name on the cup, even though for that season it wasn't deserved oddly, for last season and the post-season 2 years prior he deserved it enough to me. It was still odd that Smith was the choice of player Q decided to replace Hossa with in that SC game while a currently chubbed up Tony Amonte sat and ripped Hossa for missing it.

Think that ones a wash. They are very simillar. There has been no issues with the fourth line. Dont think there would have been one with Smith. That line goes as Kruger goes in my opinion..he leads it.
