I think she does die, but she is so closely tied to jamie's arc, not yet. In other words, if jamie lives, Brienne lives.....for now.

A headless Ned Stark rises and scares his little daughter...not that he ever cared about his family. Abandoned all of them to live the good life with his fat buddy in KL. Didn't care about his youngest son being in a coma and then crippled. Didn't care about any of them. Horrible man.
