No kidding...I'd even say it butt fucked all. Rather be surprised anyway. Was hoping they'd do more with the fire to light things up so we could see more clearly.

We should definitely over analyze the war strategy in a fictional world of dragons and ice zombies.

Looked like he was injured and that's why Jon crash landed. Did not see him actually die.

Jon's dragon is Rhaegar, Drogon is Dany's dragon.

It really was. Pretty basic strategy to use your infantry to hold the enemy and then let the cavalry flank them.

They set fire to the trenches so seems really dumb to not have fire ready as they climb the walls as basic tactic to try and withstand a siege.

And set the castle on fire in the process?

Can someone black and white this whole Mel and Arya thing? Dumb it down for me. I’m confused. The eye color stuff, how is Mel azhor? Reading comments and they’re not connecting.

When she asks Arya whay do we say when death comes for us and Arya replie, "not today", it's a verbatim callback to when Syrio Forel asked the same to illicit the same reply. Was theorized Jaqen was Syrio even though Syrio was said to be dead in the show. Turns out Mel was both Syrio and Jaqen prepping Arya all along. When she told Arya she'd close many eyes...brown eyes...green eyes...blue eyes. The blue eyes part was referencing NK. She did see it all coming from a long time ago.

Um no. You never seen people throw stuff on people climbing walls and then using fire? Pretty common strategy and does not result in walls being burned.

I don't make that jump, Mel wasn't serio or jaqen. She just seen it in a vision, just like the red priest (Kinvarna) saw what happened to Vary's when he got castrated.

I'm not sure if it's safe to make that jump cause she called the blue eyes thing too and Arya seemed to know it was her all the time. Her visions were never that clear or straight forward which is why she made the mistake with Stannis. I can't be for sure. We'll have to see if they spell it out.

Maybe the ones who made it through the initial for were the white walker and not just wights. Could be just wights were prone to fire. NK was impervious to fire, maybe the Generals he created were too.

I am glad that most of the spoilers were wrong, I am struggling a bit with the "Arya is Azor Ahia" thing though. I kinda liked it while watching, but man, did it ever make a mess of the whole azor ahai prophecy.

The whole Azor Ahai thing was a red herring. Arya is just Arya. That's the beauty of it all.

Nah man, I'd prefer to dissect the movements of the army. Historical accuracy Is more important to me than the actual entertainment.
