Yeah not sure the Azor Ahai thing is really relevant. These guys seemed to have not cared about any sort of exposition in the end of the Night King, Azor Ahai or anything else. Maybe will be explored in the book.

Maybe the ones who made it through the initial for were the white walker and not just wights. Could be just wights were prone to fire. NK was impervious to fire, maybe the Generals he created were too.

Wasn't talking about the Generals. I mean all the wights at the base of Winterfell as they started to scale the walls.

GRRM is well known for his red herrings though. And I am pretty sure that the book Arya threw to distract the wights was a half finished copy of the "Winds of Winter"

I am glad that most of the spoilers were wrong, I am struggling a bit with the "Arya is Azor Ahia" thing though. I kinda liked it while watching, but man, did it ever make a mess of the whole azor ahai prophecy.
Was the Azor Ahai prophecy ever mentioned in the show? Cant remember or if everyone was just bringing it over from the books. If we ever get the books they will likely detail it much more and make it make more sense than the show did.

He is also known for his long winded nature. I suspect or perhaps hope that the books will actually do some of this stuff justice rather than just the cheap thrills this seems to be. Well excluding the NK of course since not really a focal point in the books which probably explains why his story was so hollow in the end.

They touched on it a bit with Stannis.

We didn't see as much as one White Walker engage in combat, or even the NK. What an absolute waste.

Well we did get a lot of stare downs and one awesome javelin throw, lol. But yeah, what a joke of a villain in the end. Didn't even unsheathe his sword.

I can' believe Jon did Ghost dirty like that, sending him in to certain death.
Didnt die on screen then he ain't dead. The way they've treated Ghost the past few seasons I'm sure there will be no mention of him then once Jon finally sits on the throne Ghost will just pop out of nowhere to stand beside him.
