Based on the previews, with Aray kissing someone (although you can't make out who) Gendry is still alive as well..

And Dany still very much in charge so they keeping Jon's secret. I know I shouldn't but
looking like another long talked about thing gonna come into play. Talking about Sansa and Tyrion conspiring with Cersei to keep Dany away from the throne. Tyrion thinking she'd still be too dangerous with her dragons and Sansa being all kinds of jelly. Then Sansa has a change of heart and warns Jon when Cersei targets him for death, leaving Tyrion to be the lone betrayer. Looked like Sansa and Tyrion were chumming up this episode.

I could see Tyrion and Sansa conspiring, but Sansa would trust Cersei even less than Dany.

That was badass! As others have commented the episode was a little bit dark in terms of lighting and shading but I do believe it was done just to convey the sense of chaos and utter confusion. It was epic.

Yeah but she'd be thinking they can stand up to her anyway. They feeling good after taking out the dead especially those hiding in the crypt at the time. They also had their own King of the North before Jon bent the knee to Dany. It's the bending the knee thing that has Sansa uptight. Tyrion could also get her to believe he can put her on the throne or take the Throne himself and let the North be.

No, he was brought back only to hold the door. Once that mission was complete, so was he. I would have guessed that if I didn't think it was already played out.

A big WTF moment I'd have to mention from this episode was when Jon stood up and looked ice dragon in the face and screamed at him. WTF? Couldn't the dragon just breathe fire on him at that moment. Then, as luck would have it, NK falls and thus does the dragon before it thinks of spitting fire on Jon.

I'll be that guy. I thought this episode was just ok. All of the major characters survive and I still have no idea why the NK was after Bran. Maybe they explained it and I missed it. I need answers.

Bran is the three eyed Raven. The NK has tried to kill the three eyed Raven many times. He wanted to erase any memory of that world and have an endless night. Bran is the memories of that world because he is the three eyed Raven.

The all-seeing Stark goes on to explain that the Night King "will" expose himself, for one specific reason: "He'll come for me. He's tried before, many times, with many Three-Eyed Ravens. [He wants] an endless night. He wants to erase this world, and I am its memory."

Something then clicks for Sam, who's always been fascinated with history and record-keeping. "That's what death is, isn't it? Forgetting. Being forgotten. If we forget where we've been and what we've done, we're not men anymore, just animals," he says, addressing Bran. "Your memories don't come from books, your stories aren't just stories — if I wanted to erase the world of men, I'd start with you."

All the prophesies and lore didn’t mean shit other than that we got the action we wanted. To me from book 1/season 1 to present the stuff I was interested in was the magic world of got. And now it took one episode in season 8 to make this a show more about politics than the magic world lol

Episode just keeps getting better the more I think about it.

Last 3 episodes should be outstanding.

Now, we are going to get the chess game and people are going to get betrayed.

The Night King doesn't wait out the Storm, the Night King brings the Storm.
I think we will see this play out in a more literal sense. The battle will be fought in large part in blizzard conditions, with very low visibility. this makes it hard for Jon and Dany to use their dragons effectively, and disorients the army of the living. This could be were mel comes into play, to fight back the blizzard.

You get a cookie.

So who all did we loose? All of the Mormonts, Ed (Lord Commander of the NW), Beric, Theon, Melisandre, the NK, pretty much all the Dothraki and Unsullied. Anyone else?
Mormonts have been the most fucked family out of all this. From the mutiny at Craster's keep to this

You would have to think that the Iron Bank wants their money back and if they have a role in this battle.

People are to tied up in the prophecies, in so far as who killed the NK. Both Jon and Dany were necessary for all this to come together, to make the "kill shot" possible.
