People are to tied up in the prophecies, in so far as who killed the NK. Both Jon and Dany were necessary for all this to come together, to make the "kill shot" possible.
Yes, and there were theories that Arya would kill the NK. This was the plan all along it seems. It all
Connects. I wonder if they will
Tell us that’s why she was trained as a faceless man. They knew she had to kill the NK

re: Bran-

Is there a theory that much like there always has to be a Stark in Winterfell, does there always have to be a NK?

Glad they didn't go with the "there must always be a Lich King," route.

You think? Or did he just foresee it as one of many possibilities?
I def. think he knew when he handed her the dagger. He had this look on his face. I think that’s the moment they portrayed as him knowing. I read they knew Arya was going to kill the NK for 3 years now.

Don't really remember that one. I'll have to go back and watch it.

Season 7. Bran gives Arya the dagger and says he doesnt need it. If you watch it back, when she touches it. He has this look on his face.

I do. They made a decent deal of Bran giving her the dagger. It was the dagger they used to kill Littlefinger, so the story comes full circle. In addition, reading some stuff about the dagger last night after the episode, the guy who plays Sam was specifically told that when he was reading a book in the Citadel that he should linger on the page that had that dagger. The showrunners wanted viewers to get a good glimpse of that dagger.

Going forward with the last few episodes I wonder if we find out more about the face less men. They didn’t train Arya from the goodness of their heart they had a part in all this. What did they know and when did they know it. Are they who Melisandre went to visit? Stuff like that could keep things interesting

Who would have thought the ultimate villain at the end is Cersei lol

Maybe. He definitely had a weird little look when she actually grabbed the dagger, but why would his foresight be contingent on her actually taking possession of it? I would think he would've seen a vision of her killing the NK before and handing her the dagger would be no big deal. Maybe because it happens in the future and not the past? Not sure what the "rules" are for being the Three-Eyed Raven.

Anyone else noticed Arya move on NK was the almost the same as her sparring session with Brienne of Tarth?

Maybe he also saw another vision of her he didn’t like

The faceless men taught her well but why? It’s so mysterious we’re they in on all this to defeat night king?

The NK wanted to destroy all of mankind. Why wouldnt they help in the fight? I dont think this is the last we have heard of them. Jaqen H'ghar had no issues with her leaving with a smirk on his face. Remember, faceless men only kill the "marked and chosen".

Not sure anyone else thought this, but I kind of got the vibe that based on their conversations with each other all show long that when Sansa brought out the dagger behind a crypt that her and Tyrion were going to have a Romeo and Juliet ending.

Yes but as we see things season to season no one except the people of the night watch even believe in the white walkers. Even the people in the north found it hard to believe. If the faceless men had anything to do with bringing him down their knowledge of everything is profound. In the books they were every where you have to pick up on it. The last we hear from them in the book I believe was at the citadel. Maybe in the books they are there impersonating a maester to figure out how to kill the night king? At the time it didn’t make sense but now that we see Arya is the prince that was promised hmmmmm

People saying that the NK was a terrible enemy, that battle scene was overwhelmingly a display of his power. I mean yeah, would have been great for a little more, or a sword draw, but he didn't have to.

Was a little torn on the ending as it unfolded, but in hindsight I think they did a great job of showing just what a bad ass he was without having him do too much. Kind of sad that character is over though.

The dark visuals of the whole episode were a little annoying. I get it, but it was hard to watch at times.

Arya wasn't the prince that was promised. That prophecy was just used to throw people off. Show runners said they knew for 3 years they'd have her do the kill though. While it may have looked too easy, some how Arya did get it just right. NK had to be stabbed with the Valerian dagger right where the children of the forest plunged the dragon glass in him to create him.

Maybe I'm also in the minority, but I felt like the battle against the NK and the dead would run until the final episode with almost everyone dying throughout the last few episodes.

The thought of most was it would take at least 2 episodes. The show runners have already commented on this though, saying it's all about the Game of Thrones so it was always going to be more political than anything.

While Cersei may not look like a great threat, she is crazy and has a distinct advantage in numbers now with 20,000 fighters in the Golden company while team Dany/Jon just lost all the Dothraki and many of their other fighters. her plan of letting them fight and lose many of their fighters has panned out.
