the Show definitely has had its ups and downs but I’ve always looked forward to watching.

But it needs to be said would we have been better off with the show in the hands of showtime Netflix or amazon?

I was pretty positive this was going to happen and it’s probably why they didn’t dive into it

Interesting theory. I could dig it. Mainly because I need something fantasy like to make all the NK and Bran stuff feel like more than just filler.

Thing about prequels is it's in the past so you know nothing that horrible can happen and you know NK isn't really that dangerous cause a little girl took him out.

Not liking it. Don't think there's anything special w/Bran. Other 3 eyed Ravens have been trained as he was. The magic is not in him but in the weirwood net which is what the children of the forest created to serve as the memory of their world. He's just accessing the info provided by it. Had NK actually wanted to wipe out the memory of the world, killing Bran wouldn't have been enough. He'd still have to destroy the Weirwood net so nobody else could ever learn to use it.

Well, with the CotF dead, who would ever be able to use it, without bran showing them how?

So I’ve been thinking…

I could see a scenario where Sansa is in a situation much like Sam’s father and brother (bend the knee or die) and Jon kills his aunt/girlfriend to save his cousin/sister.

Or maybe Jon isn’t there and Tyrion does the deed which would be a call back to when he referred to himself and Jamie as the “king slayer brothers” even though Dany isn’t a king.

I don’t read spoilers or watch GOT YouTube so these are just some thoughts that have been rolling around in my head.

I’m still wondering what did bran and Tyrion talk about. They shared a really odd look. Did bran tell him jon is the true heir to the throne? Did he tell him his plan to kill nk? Did he tell him he will be a virgin for life? I’m still interested in that sit down. They must have skipped over that for the drunk circle for a reason. That meeting should play a role I think

Well you could have told the full story. Just would have taken more episodes.

Not really. A standard network TV show has 24 episodes in a season. More than enough to tell this story in the same eight seasons. You would just have had to sacrifice on budget most likely.

Not on prime channels like HBO. Seasons are usually 10-13 episodes.

I was disappointed with the end to the Night King....

I thought it was fantastic, yet also disappointing. The dramatic build up was amazing. His death was pretty great. Yet, it was disappointing because they built him up, and never actually developed his character. He should've had at least one dramatic fight with Jon Snow. The show has certainly had an obvious drop off since running out of material, but it's still entertaining at least. It's not like it's going the way of Dexter, where I'd much rather forget the final three seasons ever even happened.

I don't think Bran will spill the beans about Jon's lineage to anyone else. I think Jon will tell Sansa and Arya and later have his loyalty to the Starks tested (foreshadowed when Arya told him not to forget he is part of the family).
