Honestly, I would think there is that wiggle room. Even the incestuous relationship aside, 1 is almost obligated to be there for family. If it goes down like I think and he just hustles over there to get her out of harms way, I don’t think that’s a bad thing. If he was to do more crazy shit on her behalf that would be a bad thing. Don’t think others will be of the same mindset though. Even if he does just want to save her dumb ass, they’d likely see it as a big blemish in his redemption arc.

This is like saying if Hitler's brother just wants to whisk him out of Germany so they can hang out in Bali and avoid their many crimes, that is cool cause family.

Being disappointed with this season, I was certain the show runners had diverged from much of what Martin had planned. It's the only explanation as to why it, along with Tyrion, stopped being clever or even making sense for that matter. Confirmation has come as he seems as disappointed as the fans and adds if they stayed true the series would have run for another 5 years.

HBO actually wanted more. The showrunners decided to wrap it up in 6 episodes claiming they had enough time to do so.

Not the fans fault the showrunners suck. My guess is without a Martin book to wholesale copy from they wanted to wrap up the show as quickly as possible to avoid being exposed and while they can still cash in. It is obvious these guys know little about storytelling behind sacrificing story for spectacle.
