Dani been teethering on crazy from the beginning...her going mad shouldn't surprise anyone. She's been power hungry forever.

So I'm curious...is Arya dead? or did she die and come back to life? I feel like that white horse has to be some kind of metaphor

Remember how Jamie got fatally stabbed twice and was able to meet up with Cersei?

One thing they at least gave us was the Clegane Bowl....

If you wanted to see a continuation of their heavyweight sword fight from season 1 you had no chance of it on a fucking staircase, but you did get to see them fight.

I lol'd when The Mountain squashed Qyburn.

I did expect, with all the dragon fire that The Hound would have to face his fear of fire at some point to get at his brother, they seemed to be foreshadowing this, and then it never happened.... k.

I also thought maybe either The Hound would kill The Mountain by shoving his face in some dragon fire or perhaps The Mountain would do it again to The Hound, but this time rage would overcome fear and inspire the kill.... but non of that happened....

Instead it was like those 1990s action movie scenes where the hero is beaten to a pulp, only to come alive at the last moment to slay the bad guy.

I mean it wasn't a terrible ending for Sandor.... he sacrificed himself to ensure The Mountain would no longer plague the world, but they kinda threw away a number of opportunities to callback to their history as brothers/rivals.

Cleganebowl was great. He did throw himself into fire to kill the Mountain.

At this point the show would be better if it stopped right now and we didn't get the finale. Dany is presumably going to be queen, for all we know she might go sane again.

Jon and Arya can return North and live happily ever after. the end.

Sort of... I mean the fall is going to kill you, not the fire.

I digress, but they spent so much time... even in episode 3 showing him being afraid of fire.

Would've been more satisfying if he and Gregor burned to death, Sandor finally conquering the fear of fire using it to kill his asshole undead brother.

Hell they practically set it up by showing Gregor wouldn't fucking die unless his body was wholly destroyed.

Instead they fell to their deaths, which kinda like Cersei/Jamie dying by cave-in was less satisfying that it could have been.

When a show lays out a format that's entertaining, then puts out a product that is insanely rushed and fast forwards over major plot and character development, it isn't as entertaining anymore. There's a difference when I go to watch something like Fast and the Furious vs. Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones was entertaining because of the story, not the visuals. I've come to expect a gripping story.
Fine. Then don't watch it. No one's holding a gun to your head. It's a fictional story about dragons and magic.

Right. Don't watch the last episode after investing this much time into it. Sounds reasonable. I'm holding out hope they can save what they've done this season.

Oh no, they will give us this Jon vs Dany bullshit... I am betting they do a callback to the Mad King demanding Ned's brother/father come South.

Jon will show up and Dany will try to execute him by Drogon and when he blasts Jon, Jon won't die because he's a Targ like her and she will stumble backwards, trip over Tyrion and fall out a window.

And in a final odd bow out to feminism, the show will end with some like Council of Ladies in charge of Westeros with Sansa, Arya, Alys Karstark, Yara Greyjoy, and a few others... and they will meet in some room with Lady Olenna's portrait on the wall.

Meanwhile Jon will take Drogon and fly North and run head on into the wall and both of them will die, and Ghost will eat Jon's corpse and die of an infection and Brienne will find Tormund and all the Wildling men dead of scurvy because all men are too stupid to live... clearly.

Last night was the first time I'd turned off an episode midway through and said **** it i'm going to bed.

Reading that reddit spoiler has completely ruined the ending of GoT for me. Couple that with just how absolutely shit the ending is and I'm almost glad they're going to bury this show next week.

After all the anticipation for two years. The writers took a big fat shit on this thing and it's terribly disappointing.
You did it to yourself. Imagine reading a spoiler and then being upset when it comes true. Now you're (to be fair, you're not the only one ) pouting about on a message board and didn't even finish watching it.

Ya'll are a bunch of snobs.

It really shouldn't.

So the Queen beheads someone very close to Dany and that shouldn't trigger her? Seems that would be a pretty opportune time to lose your shit.

This is the dude that thinks Fear the Walking Dead is great.
Now THAT is a terrible fucking show. The regular Walking Dead has been awful for about the last five years as well. How can someone go on and on about how poorly written GOT is, and then watch something like that? To each his own, I guess.

I liked the episode. I found beauty in a lot of scenes. I thought the Cersei ending was done well with the city basically crumbling on top of her because she a stone cold *****. I thought they would have a Romeo and Juliette ending. Only thing I didnt particulary like was Arya just killed the NK and has been trained to basically survive everything. Then. she runs around like a chicken with her head cut off like she was a little girl back in season 1. Maybe her getting some dick was the culprit but it was strange.

Also, why is everyone bitching about her burning down the city. You knew it was coming. They killed her best friend and her last words was "Dracarys". I think that was a pretty good hint that she was going to **** up everyone and not care.

Yall bunch of geeks need to take a cold shower.

I guess people just didn't like that she killed innocent people after hearing the bells. I can see her going "mad" and killing everyone including innocents as long as they put up a resistance, but even after giving up, she said "**** them kids...let me destroy this city"

Here is the thing about this episode. The directing was fantastic. The acting was good. The cinematography was fantastic. And despite all that, it sucked because the writing was epically bad. Rushed is the keyword here. The whole season has been one huge rush job.

One of the things people are missing here, is part of the reason Dany is in a rage, is she realizes no matter what, she will not be the ruler, at least not the ruler the people want. I don' think people picked up on that in her conversation with Jon.

A bit fatalistic though. She saw what happened when she made Gendry Lord of Storms End.

Best way for her to have the people love her was to allow the surender, promote and reward those that fought for her and rule fairly.

It is like she turned intona millennial overnight expect instant gratification type love and loyalty.
