tough situation to be in, you cant really sit the guy for over a week either..
i have to believe a deal will be made by tomm... reason being, i think the team that wants him, would rather he starts for them Tues. or weds over waiting until sat. ( get the extra start )..

Last Friday's Matt Garza trade talks between the Rangers and Cubs fell apart due to concerns following the exchange of medical reports. Roughly 72 hours later, Ken Rosethal of FOX Sports reports that Garza is unlikely to make his start for the Cubs tonight because a new trade between the two sides is near (Twitter link). ESPN's Jerry Crasnick chimes in as well (also via Twitter), tweeting that trade talks between the two sides are indeed back on.

question is, does Olt go right to 3B for cubs or AAA ?

I say bring him up now and let him ride it out..

side note - this may make the hopeful future outfield consist of Soler, Almora and Bryant.

All depends on Edwards. Olney just reported a lot of teams viewed Edwards as a top 5 prospect with "growing potential" within the Rangers farm system.

sounds like a bad viagra commercial.

Olney also says that outside of Texas, there really wasn't a lot of interest in Garza. strange.

Neither do I.

I thought Edwards was the one with alleged medical issues.

pretty sure it was the other pitcher rumored to go...not positive though.

I don't really like this deal at all.

wasnt expecting a lot, especially considering he a rental.. But look at what cubs gave up to get him, and now what their getting in return..

maybe most fans and sports writers/radio just over value garza a bit..

I've seen reports saying it's Garza for: Olt, Edwards, Grimm, and a PTBNL
