Foley is so old he couldn't figure out which goalie was ours, Price or Crawford.... Someone in chat was surprised he didn't call Crawford, Belfour....

He has gotten really bad. Used to love the guy, but his time has come.

I agree, Ron. It's sad; many of us were excited when he re-joined the broadcast team. But this year, I've watched the games with the sound significantly down only turning it up when there's an explanation needed or an interview of someone...

I just hope they don't pull a Harry Caray or Ron Santo with the guy and let him continue until he is litterally knocking on death's door. I am looking forward to the return of the simulcast so John and Troy can do the broadcast. They could even add Stevie K for some extra color.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
RK: I'll take your word for their play since right now frustration is clouding my view of the early season (except for Sharp and Hossa tearing it up). Again, my only real complaint about him all year was that he didn't get pissed at the team's lackluster play soon enough (and I can pin most of that blame on Q). However, neither of their seasons am I unhappy with.

Stu: Scott only had 1 time this entire season where he played agressive and that was coming to Campbell's defense. I agree that it's an either/or with Pisani, but he had plenty of other times where he should have been throwing that 6'-7" frame around and making people pay in the corners, and he wasn't.

Toews has yet to start a season on fire. Had he, he'd have finished in the top 10 in scoring every year. His slow starts I'm sure haunt him.

And I think there were lots of rants in the locker room long before St. Louis. Unfortunately this team lacks serious depth in it's bottom two lines and serious depth at Center with two potential Centers out the past 7-10 games.

Don't let your frustration cloud you. Most of us knew with the turn over and lack of cap space this year was not going to be easy.

Except they just re-signed both of them for 5 more years for some unknown reason.

I'm pretty sure IHF is right and it was three years, after this one.

Yeah you guys are right, through 13-14... I think I got it mixed up with this is Eddie's 5th year.

Never thought it would be, I figured 4-6 in the wst and a 2nd round exit to someone other than the Canucks. I knew we'd take a step back, but I never imagined we'd be fighting this hard for our playoff lives.

If we have to lose in the playoffs, let it be anyone but the Canucks. They would be insufferable, all of history will somehow be forgotten and they'll celebrate a playoff victory over the hawks as if they had won the Stanley Cup itself... Or the Presidents Cups....

I'd rather they miss the playoffs completely, than play the Canucks and lose.

**** that shit. You cowards!!!

You don't even live in Vancouver (well Lord is close enough). Tell me you would rather not make it into the playoffs than have to deal with a few wimpy Canuck fans gloating because they MIGHT beat a Hawks team that is beat up and not even close to the same team that has woooped their asses the last 2 playoffs? COME ON!!!

Us Vancouverites would never hear the end of it but I am willing to take on some dumb ass comments from Canuck fans anytime!! They just don't have the amo ever to get under our skin. They haven't done shit and they won't this year. They are a little bit built better for playoff hockey but they are still very beatable.

I look at it the other way. What if we face them and we beat their asses? How awsome would it be to gloat in their faces that they got beat by a beaten up Hawks team who were the underdogs.

Give me playoffs..I don't give a shit if we lose in the first round as long as the boys put a solid effort in. Which they will.

BLAHHHHHHHHHHHH...can't believe what I am hearing here.

I never said I'd rather not make the playoffs, I just said they'd be the last team I want to lose to.
