Well you guys can gripe all you want, at least we got beat by a NUMBER ONE GOALIE.

For real though, sucks Brouwer got hurt but not sure his play will be missed. He was finally in front of the net on the Kane goal. But he's been MIA as of late. Guess when guys like Buff, Steeg and Ladd leave I expected him to step up much bigger. If the injury is how it looked I hope we call up Morin, nothing like a rookie playing over his head and throwing up big numbers when the team needs it. Like the guy who won the game for the Habs tonight possibly?

Brouwer's been MIA all year. He just isn't that great when he's not on the top line apparently.

Pernell Karl isn't really playing over his head, I think he's legitimately good.

I like your confidence but I am not going to go looking at Morin being a savior to what looks like a pretty scrubby team on paper right now with the injuries etc. But its either him or Scott isn't it? Funny I am actually leaning towards Scott playing tomorrow over Morin (cant believe that came out of my mouth).

Hawks really are going to have to dig deep as hell. And the worry is by the time the first round starts the Hawks maybe already done anyways. Hate to say that but looking at the health of the team as is? It doesn't look good. Not sure if the thought of us being able to beat any team the first round is actually legit. Not with these injuries and how exhausted some players look already.

I am really concerned about the 2 Wings games to be honest and I am worried that the Blues might be overlooked tomorrow. This is fun and all but its starting to give me ulcers again.

Neither can I. I'm not saying he should be the savior by any means. Just think he could possibly add some key points that have been lacking big time. And play Scott against Detroit and I'll shit my pants. I highly doubt Q will. Still wish the NHL wasn't a little fucking child and would just say what Brouwer's injury is. Also, back to Morin, say he gets thrown in there and scores a goal, maybe it light a fire under the ass of some others.

And I was referring to P.K. playoffs circa 2010. Guy played his 3rd NHL game when he was called up and played like an animal.

Yea the thing is Brouwer's numbers aren't exactly down, just static.......

And the end of TCD's quote was answering your last line.

I know his numbers are about the same as last years but I can't remember his last good game and I've been waiting for him to have a good game for a while.

I don't know about Morin either. I'm not sure about what the options are for replacing Brouwer as I don't follow Rockford but it should be someone who can throw the body if at all possible.

The debate is over. Sharp is the MVP of the team no doubt. Their offense is shit without him. Both Crawford and Price played great.

Stu your up again but you get the blame if we lose against the Blues.

Great game tonight by both goalies. Crawford was hung out to dry several times by his teamates... How may times can Camelleri be wide open in the slot?

I think I am now missing Burish, Eager and Fraser. Johnson is our only player in our bottom lines.

I was wondering about that. He got hurt in the WJC right? Fuckin bull. Still, maybe Makarov? Anyone who can't put the puck in the net.

I really think we will see Scott at least tomorrow.

I still think Makarov hasn't been given the proper NHL evaluation yet. I would roll with him BUT that's probably not going to happen.

While I still think the playoffs would be nice, the thought of the team getting a long vacation with enough time to get healed, reloaded and mentally ready to get on a tear next year is also somehow enticing.

When Sharp got hurt, my first reaction was that the season was over. I really hope that's not the case, but I'm just not sure how this team, as it stands, is going to score goals. It's pathetic really. I pretty much despise any forward the Hawks are dressing right now, not named Toews, Hossa, Kruger, or Kane. The defense is solid, even if not contributing goals. They're doing their job, for the most part. The offense just can't finish the fucking job. At some point they have to take the blame for the inability to score goals. Yes, the goalies have been pretty good against them lately, but a lot of the problems are self inflicted. You have to bury the chances you get, because you usually don't get many in the NHL. That's just not happening.

Out of the forwards the Hawks have going into UFA or RFA, I think the only guy you offer a contract to is Kopecky... and not much more than he's making now. Brouwer, Stalberg, Frolik, Pisani, Johnson, Dowell? All of these guys are replaceable. Brouwer, Frolik, and Stalberg are all likely going to require raises, and not a single one of them is worth spending the money on. The Hawks have bottom six players...that you can't trust to kill penalties, or play solid defense. Pretty worthless.

On the Brouwer injury subject, is there even have a forward in Rockford that can step up and play with the big club? Like, seriously? Scott dressing, and more Stalberg in the top six... Fucking awesome. As bad as Brouwer has been, there's just nobody to take his spot.

I really thought the Hawks were a lock for the playoffs this season, but I'm starting to have serious doubts now. These last three games are going to be EXTREMELY tough. St. Louis is playing probably their best hockey of the season right now. Perfect timing. Detroit is always tough, and will be even tougher given the current roster. When you've had the injuries the Hawks have had, with the lack of depth up front, you're in trouble.

Pez, what is it you see in Kruger? Offensively he has shown not a thing, other than a decent deflection on net this last game, defensively he seems to go for a skate rather than picking up a man.

He seems to have decent instincts out there. That's about it. I just think it is too early and it is obvious he is here out of necessity and not because he is ready for the NHL. His foot speed is terrible and he gets lost a lot. He gets a pass though as he hasn't been playing in NA for two or more years like the rest of these guys. Expectations were higher for a lot of our forwards and I have been disappointed as a whole. Especially with guys like Brouwer and Bickell who have the tools but apparently lack the motivation or brains to put them to use. At this point I actually miss Versteeg and I was one of his biggest critics. He puts most of our forwards to shame. With his talent as well as his attitude. I am really just looking forward to next season more than anything else.

What? That puck was a GIVE AWAY from HOSSA!

And FYI Toews was called for TRIPPING. He NEVER touched his skate, Suban caught an edge.

What game were you watching?

Montreal has scored 10 goals in 9 games. I'd say that's not playing well. They do how ever have the most points at home in the NHL this year.

Unfortunately the Hawks have like 10 goals in 15 games.

With Kane the only one on the ice flying this team is in TROUBLE!

Way to go Kaner for #300. 6-7 points off from being a pt per game career so far!

I agree that Toews never tripped him, if a hook was called I would have agreed with that since it did look like Toews hooked him in the stomach but yeah....bad call by the refs.

I want Johnson back. Sixty percent in the dot. Someone needs to take pressure off Toews.

Brouwer - Cant wait to see him gone

Stalberg - I like Stalberg, I like how he drives the net HARD now just needs to score.

Frolik - Not given up on him yet but if his services are retained I'm okay with it

Dowell - Yeah no reason to keep him

Why are people so down on Dowell. He is a rookie and gets very little minutes and he rarely hurts his team when he is on the ice. Do people think this is as good as he gets? He would be a good 4th liner. He brings physicality and a decent PK option.
