Just did a recap of all weddings I've booked/worked for the last few years (191 total)

87% Saturdays (more than 75% at night)
8% Friday
4% Sunday (most of these had no alcohol and were usually of ages 50+)
1% all other days

What does the place do on the fridays and sundays that don't have events? Just take the day off?

Where I ended up getting married (private country club), we booked a year out and at the time they were booked every friday, saturday and sunday for the next 6 months. I would imagine they were not all weddings, but I was surprised at the time how busy they were.

Your Vietnamese gf forced you into eating asian food while going to winery's and getting buttfucked by the studly tour guide.

Asian food is better than American food. For one, it's healthier. There are so many varieties and flavors too, you don't even feel like you are eating healthy.

She didn't go out of her way. They're getting married on a Saturday like most people do. That isn't going out of anyone's way.

Her birthday falls in October, and will be on a Sunday on average of once every seven years. That means giving up 1 in 112 early season regular season games to do something nice for his partner (who we've already established does a lot for him too) on her birthday.

I don't think that's a big ask. I think it's the least he could do. Not making a big whiny scene over it would be nice too.

Now the question is...

Where would you stand if it wasn't her bday, and she wanted to do winery.

Where does mick stand on that?

Mindblown

Mick and First Timer would go with their wives to a baby shower while the Super Bowl was on.

I would to if the SB was between the Packers and the Colts(I'll never forgive that team)

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
or he'd toss it to him and Woodson would be there to intercept it

One of the groomsman would pick it off and bang Despbro's wife in the butt.

On the outside "im like sure whatever you want." But inside im like NOOOOOOOO!!!!! Outside of having the nfl sunday package is there a way to watch the game other tha nfl rewind which i believe makes you wait till tuesday to warch the games?

OP, did you, or did you not, establish with your gal that watching the Bears play in real time each week during football season is important to you?

Birthdays, memorials, anniversaries, corporate functions. Barmitzvahs also book up on Saturdays too.
If nothing is happening, then the place is empty. The risk/reward of an event venue. Can lose your ass in a hurry because there is no "bread & butter" for the business like a restaurant.

Only one system works. But only if you use it correctly.

Also, why do people think they need to celebrate their "special" day exactly on the day of? Go out on Saturday for crying out loud, and do it up right. Then you can really cut loose and still have one recovery day before the work week. Sunday events (other than football) are for church-goers, senior citizens, and AA members.

My wife and I only use our bdays as excuses for a nice dinner date. It is a fake holiday for adults, but I'm good with it.

When was I asking others for advice?

This has nothing to do with morals or values. I am not saying to treat women like shit. I am saying that you don't give into their tests and whimper down to their every command like they own you.

For this given situation, it would be one thing if she wanted to go to the winery at SOME POINT in the day. The fact that she literally asked to go right at noon signals that she is testing him to give up something he loves to be with her at that very moment when she knows she could go to the winery at any other time.

IMO relationships worth keeping do not include commands and testing. But, again, that's just one man's opinion.
