As a grizzled 34 veteran of marriage i can tell you there are so many worse things you can get dragged to. At this point anything with any kind of alcohol is a win.

My wife understood before we were married, Bears games are sacred and not to messed with. The last time I missed a snap of any Bears game was Aug 29 1981, a preseason game against the Chargers, I only caught about one quarter during my wedding reception. The date was picked long before the schedule came out.
