Whats yall go to cold day winter dish. Not really looking for soups cause that is a given. Something homey and warm that fills ya belly.

Im making stewed chicken.

Hard seared chicken thighs seasoned generously with creole seasoning and garlic powder. Same pot adding onion, bell pepper, celery, garlic, and green onion. Slow cook to caramelize the onions and bring the sweetness out. Adding some home made 18 hours chicken stock to get all the good bits and flavor then putting the chicken thighs back in and going to about another hour or so while everything becomes a delicious one and the chicken falls off the bone.

Served over rice or, in my case, cauliflower rice.

Delicious.

psare plaki, basically baked white fish drenched in some tomato sauce with onions, oregano, thyme, rosemary and other herbs. You can eat it warm after letting it cool down from the oven or you can also eat it cold later.

Chili is definitely one... if you make a good one that is hearty enough to be a meal on its own.

If I don't have chili.... I am single, so I sit in the dark on my hard floors where it is cold and cry into the jar of cold peanut butter I am eating.

Such is the life of a bachelor.

You seem to like a lot of Polish dishes
I get into a lot of Bavarian and Eastern European cooking in the colder months.

Summer is more Mexican, Mediterranean and such.

I do like cajun and soul food stuff all year round though.
