Braised short ribs, mash, roasted root veggies.

I tend to like Thai curries in colder months.

On the coast where I am now (in the south), winter is shellfish time. Lots of shrimp, oysters, clams.

Wasn't funny the prior 30 times, and not now. Has as much a sense of humor as his Master.

Yeah, that sounds pretty brutal. stay safe out there.

As for a bomb winter dish. Below is a recipe my great grandma used to make all the time on Sundays. Very cheap meal that can feed a ton of people. She also lived to be 108 years young (RIP) for all you keto people who don't believe in eating carbs. This dish is going to be heavy on the carb intake.

1 lb hamburger
1 onion chopped
1 pkg of egg noodles
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 can chicken and rice soup

Brown hamburger and onion. Cook noodles. Mix soups and two cans of water (or chicken stock). Combine meat, noodles and soup mixture into 2 QT casserole dish. Bake at 350 until bubbly (about 45 minutes). You can add chicken stock to it if it looks like its drying out.

Pile on top of creamy homemade mashed potatoes.

That's a gosh darn winter meal for ya. On an unrelated note, why do all grandma's love making mashed potatoes? It could be the middle of August, 100 degrees and my great grandma would be in the kitchen in her turtle neck making mashed potatoes. Gosh bless her.

Those look homemade though.
Yeah, you can also buy them at the store. So they are store bought homemade noodles. Unless you actually want to make your own pasta, but that's not my jam.
