Get yourself a short barreled 12g pump shotgun and some 000 buckshot. A dog is a great idea too if possible.

I want to be clear here, you don't intend him to get the shotgun and the dog and test the shotgun on the dog, correct?

You are talking to CCS here.

Grade 1 deadbolts with reinforced strike plates. Use the deadbolts. Many people just lock the knob because they don't want to take the 1 min to turn and lock the deadbolt. Make sure all the window locks work. If you have a sliding patio door check to see if it can be lifted out of the track. Good outside lighting. Big mean dog will serve as an alarm. Put some interior lights on timers to make it look like you're home. Never believed in alarms but if your police have a quick response time it won't hurt. If you live out in the country an alarm isn't much help. Security has been my business since 79.

You have nearly 40 years of experience and your suggestion is a deadbolt and double check your window locks?

I have been swimming since 84, my suggestion to any swimmer is to not breathe underwater and tread at a moderate pace....also wait 20-30 minutes after meals before swimming again.

Who knew home security was as simple as locking the door.

To be fair to Urblock he is down in Chambana, probably consulting security for dumb **** college kids.

I went to U of I.... first year in our apartment, first week, one of my roommates opened our patio door that is 8 feet from the sidewalk all the way, then took his stuff and went to class for the rest of the day leaving our apartment wide open for anyone to walk in and steal shit until around 3pm when one of our other roommates got home.

Honestly, if you deal with that level of dumb, telling them to lock doors is pretty much on par.

In my 15 years of working in the accounting industry my suggestion to any new accountant is to make sure the debits equal the credits.

Well this thread went about as well as I thought. Going to lock my doors, get a 12 gauge, and not live in the ghetto. Thanks for the help

I also recommend wood spike traps... they keep hordes of zombies away in 7D2D I don't see how they wouldn't do the same for burglars IRL.
