From Jim Callis of Baseball America-

Morris ranked No. 18, Burgess No. 19 on our #Nationals Top 30 in the upcoming Prospect Handbook. Other pitcher wasn't on Top 30.

Why are we getting rid of a left handed starter? The last time I looked he was the only one. Do yo suppose Sean Marshall will get another shot or will Hendry look to make another deal yet?

Show me in the rules of baseball where it says that we have to have a LHP in the rotation.

Russell is being mentioned and we have Maine mentioned as well.So there are some arms who could pan out,it's not like Gorz. was a lock to put up double digit wins.

2:02pm: Outfielder Michael Burgess is one of the prospects heading from the Nationals to the Cubs, according to Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (on Twitter).

Just another Josh Vitters IMO.

Wrong. This is a fantastic deal for the Cubs. We get Burgess, who is a Colvin-type player. He seems to be more of a long shot, however, if he makes it, I think his ceiling is higher than Colvin's. We also get Morris, who has a good slider, from what I have read. He is like a reliever version of Randy Wells. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing wrong with that at all. The last guy, whose name escapes me, is basically Archer. He's 6'5 and 170. He needs to put on some weight and that should help with adding MPH to his fastball, which can easily hit the high 80s. Plus, he is a lefty. Really, really, really, really great job by Jimbo. This makes the Garza trade look a hell of a lot better, too. I <3 this trade!

OK, CO.

I think he's more of a Vitters than a Colvin though. Just in that he seems like a bust to me.

But I still hope he and Vitters will turn out.

What are you basing this off of?

Just the stat lines. Immediately made him stand out like Vitters to me.

Again, it was just an opinion. And he wasn't even a top prospect, he was 18th in their organization.

Archer wasn't in our top 15 last year, either. Big fuckin' deal.

How does Vitters resemble Burgess to you? Burgess walks more, has more power, is a better defender, and gets on base more.
