So my wife is in the field for the next 3 months. We each have our own office in our house, so we decided to move her shit into my office and rent hers out for extra money.
We found this 25 year old grad student to move in. Kid is responsible and all, but holy ****. Dude is like from a foreign culture or some shit. He makes me feel really disconnected from society.
Here is some of the shit he does/did:
- Put scented candles all over the house. The big ones. Like what kids buy for their moms on mother's day. And he burns them all the fucking time, making the house smell like fuckin jolly ranchers.
- Put floor mats (carpet square things) in the bathroom and around the toilet and put one of those carpet cover things on the toilet seat (we do have concrete floors) (btw, carpet in the bathroom is just disgusting to me)
- cranked the water heater all the way up (we keep so you have to turn the cold knob all the way off to have really hot water)
- Does laundry loads of like 4 clothing items 3-4 times a week
- maintains a stocked candy bowl with mini candy bars (including worthers)
- Put a 90 some inch TV in the living room and turns the 1000+ watt thing on to listen to music
- Loads the dishwasher (which we don't even use) 1/4 way full and runs it
- This one almost made me freak out - I realized he gets all his groceries in paper bags and he puts them in the trash. Then I found out he dumps the recycling in the trash bin when he takes it out.
