How long were you able to live with them comfortably? I can't imagine your cohabitations lasted more than a year with those kinds of shenanigans going on.

My female best friend moved into my house a couple of months ago. Its made our friendship worse, though to compare to Botfly, I have it easy lol.... I have no desire to date her or anything. She only moved in because she really wanted out of her parents house and I charge way under market value. I wanted some extra income per month.
I did start dating another good female friend of mine though..and its fantastic thus far.

HAHA! Yeah, Spartan... I actually thought, "Wow, I sounded like a chick there" right after I posted that haha.
But seriously though... I dated a girl who was one my best friends. We were together for almost 3 years, had a bad breakup and haven't talked since. The relationship was great before the end, but I kind of regret the whole thing because she was really cool. Since then, I haven't really wanted to date any girls that I consider good friends.

I dont know how old you are, but while I have "fallen" for many friends before in my life I always treaded very lightly because I didn't want to screw up any friendships (usually I was in the friendzone anyways). I'm now 26 and last year I realized that many female friends that I've had who have gotten married, they basically disappear so the friendship pretty much ends anyways, so I'm just thinking eh might as well take the shot at this point, the potential for great things to happen outweigh the risk of losing the friendship IMO.

LOL, if you aren't dating a girl you could be/are friends with then it better just be a **** buddy, because if you don't enjoy someone's general company, why would you want them as a boyfriend/girlfriend?

I dealt with these 2 items with my lady in a very crafty fashion.
Candles- when he isnt there, break the wick off at the wax line... then light it for a moment to melt the wax surrounding the wick. blow out the candle, press wick down below surface of wax, let harden.
When done correctly, it will light and self extinguish when the wax heats up to liquid.
bathmat- randomly splash water on it in the morning.... the constant mystery wet spot will creep him the hell out, and after long enough cause him to chuck it.

I was never an asshole about it, so it was never a problem. Well, except the first time when I was 19.
I also have a personal rule (or had before marrige) that I only sleep with a chick 3 times if I know I am not interested in having a relationship with her. That seemed to prevent the inevitable problems that come from **** buddies.

So I took the advice of some of you and just had sex with a good friend. Don't regret it at all so far. And it wasn't even awkward after.
