Now we get to sit back and wait for one of the draft picks to not live up to their draft position (odds are at least 1-2 won't) so we can hear them go on and on about how right they were about EVERYTHING!.
YOu won't hear that kind of stuff from me and I doubt Mongo is built that way either. Guys like you, on the other hand, are the same kind of fellows who just loved the Emery drafts and Trestman hire until they failed and then you lied about how you knew it all of the time that they would fail.
FOr the record, I loved the Emery hire and thought that he was a good talent evaluator for the most part. Where he fucked up was in the hiring of Trestman and the rest of the coaching staff, especially Tucker). I've laid out what I think and hope actually that I am wrong about Pace. Fox is what he is, a competent head coach and should be a big improvement over Trestman who was a big failure.
And for those who think I am just negative about everything, for the record, I think that their 2nd and 3rd round picks were very good ones. I don't see the need for another running back with the 4th pick but that isn't a deal breaker.
But for all of you guys that are saying that this has been a great off season and expect this big turnaround, I say that you are dreaming. The defense will be slightly better becasue of the coaching and secondary improvement. But this is off-set by slippage in the offense. Special teams? Who knows what that brings. It couldn't get much worse than last year's.
