HASB-CHICAGO ISSUE

Just received a call from Arctic Ice. The annual Guns and Hoses charity game is traditionally held on the Sunday following Thanksgiving..... Soooo... they would like to move HASB to another date. Skate in KC is on the 19th. I am going to verify their availability from the 20th to the 23rd.



Obviously, a weekend date would be best. Let me knows what works for you guys.



I will also be checking into other rinks so we can keep the date if possible.

Klem, what if you just say no? The least they could do is cut the ice fees in half or something if they're trying to move you NOW. I mean, you've had that reserved for MONTHS now.

I'm going to look at all options, but they say that approx. 1,000 people show up for that game. While I could get some spillover, I would like to have it stand alone.



They are trying to work with me. We will see....

The problem is, icetime in November is hard to get. ESPECIALLY weekend icetime. All the teams have reserved their ice for the fall/winter seasons, all the men's league schedules are done, etc. It is going to be next to impossible to pickup a weekend ice slot during the fall season.

I'm not thrilled about it, but will find a what to deal with it. I've faced worse in life

Did you put a payment down or sign anything? If so then you have a breach of contract. While it's understandable that they will get a 1k crowd, why don't they move that game to another weekend?

How about a different rink? That rink sucks anyway.



I'm real friendly with the guy who runs Skokie, I can ask him if he has any weekend ice available. They usually have some here and there. Plus, the ice is about 500x better than Arctic. Not to mention much closer to my home
