New coach would make a difference, too much of same ol same ol.

I dont know which coach would get this locker room. Q has to have the biggest presence in a locker room from all coaches. If Stan's thought process was greasing up Ulf for the seat, he is in charge of the defense and that has been the whole problem this year. Well, not the whole problem, but when you consider our blue line were shooting more, getting shots thru and actually connecting on passes to the forwards before, maybe its getting Kitch back.

since they are on this fix my mistakes and get Saad back, maybe it goes with the coaching staff too.

But thats the question, is Q not being hardass enough or getting shit from Bowman when he scratches which veterans need to sit their ass down and watch.

I mean, Kane had 5 points with the A, does Bowman really think there is a trade to canada out there on draft day that really think the A and his history are worth taking on?

If Q was really being a hardass, he would have pressboxed Keith who has been a complete mongolian clusterfuck this year...especially with how it righted Seabs game.

I dont think it righted Seabrooks game, that was what Eddie said. Losing the A for good would have kicked seabrook in the ass and might have made a difference..

Seabrook went from a minus to a strong plus...and is only slighy minus now.

Keith, on the other hand, was the most negative Dman when Seabs got pressboxed, and has been in freefall since. Even if Seabs' inprovement was a small hiccup, if Q had the pills of a coach like Herb Brooks Keith would have spent at least one game washing Q's car.

did you see Keith skate past the puck to get to the bench and give away a breakaway goal over the weekend? I mean, a kid would be sitting on the bench watching the rest of the game in shame.

That's how I watched the whole game.

Exactly. This has been his worst year as a pro.

they have anew click bait article going around about trading Toews, since he is probably the only one of the core you can move. Maybe to winnepeg with 3-4 million per year of his salary being paid, but nobody is taking Seabs or Keith. Kane would be easiest to trade no doubt, even bring a return, but can you rebuild fast enough to cover the toews, keith and seabrook decline with 3 or 4 big prospects?

I didn't see any of the weekend games... kinda glad I skipped seeing that.

It truly amazes me. I saw it on the comcast sports recap show. No mention of what Keith did not do at that point, just like yesterday in the second seabrook bobbles the puck at the blue line and it leads to a breakaway goal and they blame the goal tender for not being able to stop Evander Kane.
Thats how I feel the entire sports world looks at seabrook and keith. At least at this forum we see reality.

I think it takes time for perception to change with people who don't consistently watch a team.

99% of the hockey I watch is Blackhawks.... so if Sidney Crosby sucks right now, I honestly don't know.... I just assume he is still good.

I have only seen Hammer play once this year against us, and I've gone on assuming he is a top 2 D man, but he could suck, idk.

Point is, I can see where people mostly know a player from overall reputation and Seabs/Keith have 8+ years of being top 2 D men vs 1 year of sucking.

Doesn't mean the perception is justified, but I can understand how it remains.

One? Just like most of the rest of the team they haven't been that good since 2016.

But I do get the whole perception thing. The problem with that is people tend not to see each thing in a vacuum when judging players. Forsberg should had the goal, but in the same vein Seabrook shouldn't have treated the puck like a live hand grenade. Who's at fault? Both--but much like the years following 2012, the goalie takes all the blame.

That's not saying that Forsberg is that good, but let's be real here...there's no guarantee the 'hawks would have been in the playoffs even with Crawford playing a full year and carrying their carcasses. Forsberg/Glass/Berube are not the primary issues.

I say 1... this is the 1 year they have been horrid.

They were serviceable last year for most of the year.... we made the playoffs with the #1 seed.

Both were Meh. In 2016. Keith was bad in 2011 and 2006. I'll give you this though...this is their worst year bar none.

I am just going with the assumption that they've all been instructed to play hard but make sure to lose.

I just can't decide if this is a slide that is irrecoverable or if they can rebound at all.

If Keith could rebound and play like a #2 and we find him a #1.... and if Seabs could at least fucking rebound and play like a 4, maybe a borderline 3... we could patch together a decent defensive core.

But when our top 2 D men play like borderline 6s.... and make 12M.... there is little you can do there.

Same with Toews at 10.5M as our 1C and Captain.... he is maybe playing like a 3C on his best nights this year... 3C/4C players can't make 10.5M.

All 3 of them need major rebounds or we're fukt.
