Peter Schrager and another guy were talking on Good Morning Football this morning saying that every single head coaching candidate look at the Colts job as the best job out there because of the respect people around the league have for A.Luck and what he can do if he's healthy. They said it's not even close to how people view the job openings. C.Ballard also comes with a lot of respect around the league. If true then hopefully they make their choice asap so it doesn't hold other teams up from getting the guys they're looking at if those guys are interested in the Colts job. It all comes down to how Luck and his shoulder checks out and how comfortable these guys are with it.

Also, do you really think there’s a real consensus on this? It seems pretty subjective to say the least.

I still don’t think Luck has lived up to his hype coming out of college. His status is probably still based on that hype as well. Dude is like a Jay Cutler with a better attitude.

I agree. Dude ain’t nothing special to date. Now will this time off help him see the game better, I think so. He could turn into that guy everyone says he is. But to this point, he ain’t lived up to whatever these people think he is. Average dude for me. Which is a good thing. At least you have a chance to win a game with an average QB. Not every team can have a Hall of fame quarterback.

Well any coach that takes that job is not going to have anything close to a clear picture on Luck. That’s a huge consideration.

Agree 100%. Just don't want the wait on hearing if Luck is good to go to hold up and coach the Bears like.

The guy can throw the shit out of the ball and make precision passes but he will definitely throw his share of INT's and will throw some that will lose games for his team. He has a hell of a lot of good but comes with some bad as in his injury history and INT's.

I have a hunch Vic is the front runner for the HC. Donatelll gets the DC job, Schanchez gets the QB coach job, and here is the surprise, McDaniels gets the OC job. That's Ben, not Josh.

So Bears.

Vic Fangio is not a Ryan Pace guy at all. Pace wants a fellow whiz-kid, an up-and-comer, a forward thinker; not another grumpy, crotchety NFL lifer who thinks he knows more than everyone else. The reports that Fangio veers off the company line in his plain-spoken (i.e.: self-promoting) interactions with the media, who love him for it (yet has nonetheless reportedly led to internal disagreements with both Fox and Jim Harbaugh) reflects poorly on Fangio as a team player and is in direct contrast to the way Pace interacts with the media.

If Vic Fangio gains any traction at all with the Bears, "Sweaty" Teddy and "King" George are still telling the kid what to do . . .

Makes perfect sense to me.

While other teams move, Ryan's still sleepin' off New Years Eve with his frat brothers . . .

. . . Hell, he hasn't even "officially" fired his Head Coach yet . . .

. . . Dithering . . .

Good lord I know you're not stupid enough to believe this.... the problem is all the other idiots that are.

Ballard is on the ball while snails Pace just causally strolling.

You don’t know what Pace has been doing. It is far more likely nothing leaked until Fox was fired.

Lions have requested to talk to S.Wilks and M.Patricia.

S.Wilks is on a lot of teams lists.

Keep in mind that just because a team sends an interview request, doesn’t mean they are ahead. There are specific times that teams can interview playoff coaches & that doesn’t start until next Monday, unless a candidate loses this weekend. #Bears

Which meatball on this site called.

It sounded like a good idea when it crystalized in my head. Then again, I'm still drunk from last night. I apologize . . .

Cardinals’ HC Bruce Arians is expected to retire from coaching, per league sources. Leaving the game on his terms. Another HC vacancy expected.
