If that’s your go to place it must have some good food and great service otherwise you wouldn’t be a repeat customer. Treat it as such and reward them for the service.
I even tip $5 on carry out that I pick up. Quit being cheap and up your game
Carry out is something I’ve never known how to tip. I’ve tipped before but don’t do it on a consistent basis.

He's just looking for attention, and we are all stupid for giving it to him.

if he runs out of pennies, he tips them $1.49. he also doesn't tip them for wheeling him to and from his table.

also, referring to Eastern European as non-white --> untermenschen --> OmeletNazi. He would have joined the Hitler Youth but we all know how he feels about military service.

I think it's time you went back to City Colleges of Chicago for remedial grammar. Maybe one day you will make it to a reading comprehension course.

and I tip the people that clear my plates at a buffett

Lots of wealthy people regularly eat at buffets. You certainly have all the hallmarks of a high net worth individual.

So, once a week I go out by myself for breakfast at a local resturaunt. Food is fabulous and really cheap: Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and biscuit with tax is $6.06. I always tip $1.50 which is almost 25%, which I think is a fair tip. Now, this restaurant is like the UN of breakfast venues: most brown, black and eastern Europeans....no Muslims. I'm often the only white person there so I'm comfortable being with my people and they all love me.

But the waitresses give me the evil eye over the amount of the tip because everyone else is leaving $3-$8 tip. A part of me is feeling guilty with the other part feeling defiant to the notion that it isnt enough. My wife says to leave $2. Of course I could leave more but that isnt the point. Moderator dicklickers and loony Leftist please do not respond. I want advise from real people.
How do you know the waitress is giving you the evil eye over the tip amount?

I mean, do you wait till she comes to the table and then lay the tip down, watch her face and wait till she looks you in the eyes?

I've never waited around to see how the waiter feels about the tip I leave, I always place it when I get up to walk out. And how would you describe the evil eye she's giving you? Does she notice the tip and then stare at you as you're leaving put her hand on her hip and a give you a sour puss?

I will never stop fighting for the right to tip hard working waitresses.

Doesn't sound like you ever started tipping waitstaff.

This new, cheap, persona is interesting. Its a lot different than the rich guy persona. You are showing great troll range.

25% is a great tip
Unless it is one of those groups that sits and drinks coffee and takes up a booth and orders no food. (totally guilty of that as a pre-21 year old kid)
We would leave a buck a person and even that didnt seem like enough given the real estate we took up.

It all depends where you are at I guess. Nice restaurant, 20% is great. Bill tops 100, they get a great tip.
At a diner, where prices are cheap and turnover is the game, you gotta at least drop the 5 for rent if you are clogging up their seating area.

If this were a true story we were responding to, my question would be "how long do you stay?"
the tip may be fine, but not so much if you loiter and keep them from getting other customers in their area.
