Don't get me wrong, I like soccer and it seems like a great sport to get my daughter and expected son into athletic competition. I've enjoyed musicals and off-broadway theater. I've even grilled fish and made mango salsa. I'm not going to start a thread about that shit in the football forum though...

Whether it's overrated or not, it's still the top league in the world.
Actually, no, it's anything but overrated. It has more of the world's best players than any other league, it's not a tedious two horse race like La Liga with two top teams and then a mass of shit, and if that's not enough, it's also the most exciting game. Fast paced end-to-end football compared to the slow, boring passing build ups in Spain and Italy.

The top league in the world that outside of one fluke has gotten their ass spanked by Spain and German teams over the past decade. It's probably the most competitive, but not what it used to be.

It's just not that interesting to many people, that and I think a lot of people, at least Americans get super annoyed with the ridiculous over the top flopping. Also, FIFA seems extremely corrupt which ruins world cups for me. How refs can call a game changing penalty, then not even have to say what they called blows my fucking mind.
That said, I don't get all the stupid "LOL soccer is teh ghey lolololol" shit. Seriously, grow up you yokels.
