Just found this place today in a random search to try to find updates on draftee signings. So far, I'm thankful for waldo's posts on the subject. I'm currently living in Texas, but a long term Cubs fan. I'm not from Chicago, but mainly from Memphis. My dad's friend turned me onto the team in 89 at the ripe old age of ...13... and got me hooked on watching the games on WGN. I climbed on the bandwagon, broke my heart in San Francisco, saw God's retribution in the Cubs not making the WS that year when the Bay Area was hit with an earthquake just moments before the first pitch of the series, and never managed to fall off.

Favorite Current Cubs Player: tie between Starlin Castro and Carlos Marmol
Favorite All-Time Cubs Player: tough one, but I'll say Ryne Sandberg... though I wish I was old enough to have seen Santo, Williams, Banks, and Jenkins together
Favorite Cubs Moment: another tough one, but I think it would have to be watching Rod Beck give every last thing he had left in 98 to get the save over SF in the single-game playoff.
