Hardly new, but I wanted to post some love for my favorite "obscure" Cubs after seeing some of the new faces post theirs. Mine is the Cubs' switching hitting single season homerun record holder:

Cubs Fan Since: 1984 (was 11 years old, when I saw my first cubs game against the Expos, the only team we had down here)

Favorite Current Cubs Player: Darwin Barney, Carlos Marmol, Geo Soto

Favorite All-Time Cubs Player: Mark Grace, Ron Santo, Aramis Ramirez

Favorite Cubs Moment: Clinching the division in 2003 against the Pirates, and Big Z's No Hitter, thrown the day after my cousin passed away.

Cubs Fan Since: 1993. My dad and to brothers both wore Cubs shirts. So I say I am a Cubs fan since birth.
Favorite Current Cubs Player: Kerry Wood (Not currently under contract I know, but he will be.)
Favorite All-Time Cubs Player: Sammy Sosa
Favorite Cubs Moment: The entire 2008 season was pretty great for me. I got to go to the first playoff game that season. But my favorite moment would have to be when the Cubs clinched the division off the Cardinals that year! Being at the game, the atmosphere was incredible!

Hi,

I'm Adam Greene. I'm the beat writer for the Cubs Double-A team, the Tennessee Smokies for The Knoxville News Sentinel and the Chicago Cubs Vine Line Magazine. I was invited her from Twitter and would be glad to share any info with you on Smokies farm team throughout the season.

I'd also be happy to link to my game stories and features.

No problem. They're pretty excited how things are going to trickle down through the minor league levels.

Maybe they'll finally learn how to take a pitch every now and then eh? :D

Posted in the general introduction thread but I'll post here as well. Name's Chris, been a Cubs fan my entire life. I've attended somewhere between 60-70 games (they blend together after awhile). Favorite current Cubs are Barney and Castro (and, of course, the Almighty Tony Campana), favorite all-time Cubs are Santo, A-Ram and Sammy. This seems like a pretty cool place and I look forward to spending some time here. Go Cubbies!

Figured I should drop a line on here. I'm not new to the site but haven't used it a whole lot (joined a year ago and up to 10 posts! haha) Ive been too busy with school and work to have much free time, but now that I'm only in school 6 hours this semester, things have cleared up a bit.

I'm Ivy's brother (younger by 1.5 years)
Been a Cubs fan my whole life (89)
I bought a 55 inch lcd so I could watch my favorite current player shred the outfield in its entirety. Thanks Reed Johnson. Love the effort every game. We need more players like you.
Favorite cubs player of all time would have to be Ron Santo. Watching old school replays and seeing the heel click just brings about a certain nostalgia all cubs fans understand.
Favorite Cubs moment would probably be the same as my brothers, with 61 and 62 hrs by Sammy. But probably the most MEMORABLE moment, is the down fall after the Bartman ball. It's stuck in my head like a figgin pop song and just wont get out.

Hope that helps put a personality to the profile.
