2013 seems pretty early. only 7 years of the PS3. I still feel like they haven't even scratched the surface of the ability on the PS3.

Maybe that will change with Uncharted 3 and some other upcoming games.

Perhaps with me having a job in the fall I can actually attempt to save up for one of these fancy gizmo game systems. Haven't gotten anything since the ps2 because I'm a poor college student (and my parents refused to get anything else for me). I'm missing out on so much...

Now pounds to dollars is never equal for these console prices. So if the price goes down to £179, the US price won't be $285. It'll be about $220ish.

Two years ago they announced a price cut at gamescomm to £249/€299/$299.

If it does drop, you can be sure to see the 360 to follow suit and drop in price as well.

The more and more these two drop in price, the closer we are to their next gen consoles.

I agree. It'd be cool if they could make Lord of the Rings Online accessible to 360 owners when/if they implement these F2P games. That's one of the best F2P games out there. There was some talk about it a few years ago, but nothing ever came from it.

Respawn Entertainment (the founders of Infinity Ward and most of the people who worked on the original Call of Duty games) has made their website live, and here is the teaser picture for the game they're working on. It'll be published by Electronic Arts.

Can't really come to any kind of conclusion to what it looks like. Almost looks like Middle Earth. More than likely a FPS of some sort though. Futuristic maybe? Post apocalyptic?

This whole gaming section has really quieted down. (not this thread highjump ) Just everything in this whole section. Im sure shit will pick up with the arrival of Gears, MW3,Madden and NHL 12

Yeah summer is a quiet period for games. Rumors too. I know when I started this thread I was able to post about 3 rumors a day. Now it's down to maybe 3 rumors per week. Once Fall hits though, this section will be buzzing again. This Fall though will be one of the biggest ever for games.

I was actually going to make a thread for the release dates for the rest of this years games. I'm bored so I'll get to work on that right now actually.
