I’m glad we got the #1 guy from this hiring cycle. As for George, I think you got some facts crossed. He didn’t get his start here in some internship program. After he retired and was inducted the the HOF, he went back to school got his degree and tried a few business ventures which failed, then tried a few reality shows and his wife got him involved in some sort of motivational speaker for minority business owners I think it was called MVP Club. His son, Eriq was a Div 1 RB for Tennessee State. The athletic director really has been pushing the football program to grow and hired Eddie George as Head Coach for 400k/year to help attract kids from the Ohio Valley conference to Tennessee State and their 75 year old stadium.
BTW this year was Eddiee’s first successful year in his 4 years in the Ohio Valley Conferences winning against both Eastern and Western Illinois, but they were shut out for the first time in teams history against Tennessee State
That was 4 years ago, but Eddie did participate in the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship for the Chicago Bears this last offseason, and that is how the Bears have his contact to rapidly produce the qualifying Rooney Rule to make the hire for the HC.
