if you're black, shave it off. If you're white and look like Vin Diesel or Jason Statham or have a beard and work out, then sure...shave it off. If however you're none of the above and look like a creep with a van to lure children, don't shave it off.

I have luxurious thick beautiful hair, like pretty much the direct opposite of bald. Not to humblebrag and/or embarrass the boys here with chit beta genes, but hey, you asked.

Pretty bald. Keep it cut very close but don’t shave it completely. Never, ever comb over. Ever.

Sidenote - wife lost all of hers with the pre stem cell treatments, twice, grew back a different color and thicker than before each time. Some of that chemo is gnarly stuff.

Woah, how did you find out you had it...an exam or were you having symptoms?
I went to my Dr once for a thyroid condition and they sent in a Physician Assistant, next thing you know my pants are at my ankles and she's feeling up my scrotum for a testicular exam. That was the only time a Dr ever checked me for that, all clear.
Back on topic I have a very thick head of hair, lot of buddies that were bald in their late teens early 20s, no combovers, those look ridiculous.
