How would you address the QB situation?

Start Foles and look for a young CHEAP qb to develop while you put assets towards fixing the Oline and setting your next QB up for success.

You head into 2022 looking for a qb and being in a better position to shed some of the defense contracts

If we had a new GM this would likely be the approach and it would be very smart.

It just amazes me that anyone who hates Trubisky wants to bring in Minshew, Winston, Darnold, Lock or Newton. Mind blowing.

Dont want.

But preparing myself for Ryan Pace’s inevitable failure.

It’s mind boggling how many ppl want to “Trade everything away!” That shit almost never works. and Pace has been awful when trading up. Acquire picks, capitalize on other teams draft mistakes

Mahomes, Watson, Josh Allen were all acquired with significant trade ups.

What I find funny about this board is that people spend more time worried about other people's choices and dismantling them, than they do in putting a little thought behind their posts.

There are no Mahomes, Watsons,or Allens to trade up for.

Has the Watson trade really been a success for the Texans? I know 75% of the board has a raging hard-on for him but the Texans are no closer to success than Chicago. And Watson wants out so how exactly is that a win for Houston
A better idea would be to send Nagy and company to the Texans

They drafted an All Pro QB.

All of the organizational cluster fuck aside, they had a massive hit with that pick.

No one thought those guys were good either.
This x1000. At the end of the day, there's still a lot of uncertainty with even first round QB prospects.

That's why if you're a QB starved team the dumbest thing you can do is not take a QB you have graded as a 1st round/potential franchise talent and punt another year.

Yes, it's been a success for the Texans.

Their puzzle may not be as complete as other people's puzzles, but they found the hardest, most important piece----the piece that some people never get, ever.

They haven't reached their ultimate goal. Maybe they never will. But if they don't, it won't be because they traded for Watson.

I wouldn’t call it a success when your franchise QB wants to leave because he hates ownership.

Depends on my motivation, if I'm win now, at all cost... You have no choice but to bring in a Vet...

If I'm not worried about my job, then I go long haul, find a QB in the draft.

And if it was my team, Teddy would be gone before I fire any GM and Coach. He has yet to pick a great GM.

Do people remember how Allen was laughed at in the draft and his first couple of years in the league?

Obtaining Deshaun Watson was an unmitigated success. Period. End of story.

All of the other stuff has nothing to do with the trade-up for him. No matter what happens from here on out, trading up for him was absolutely no doubt the right call.

Yep and even with the other stuff they either keep him or get a kings ransom for him
