I love this team, we all know it...but I'm questioning some of the decisions (as I do every October it seems)

Brandon Pirri outplayed Marcus Kruger all preseason (shit, he outplayed almost everyone in the preseason) but it's Kruger that is in the NHL, and Pirri who is on the farm. Kruger still looks like he is not ready for me, if I'm wrong, I'll eat crow (I never mind) but wth?

Rusty Olesz had a fantastic camp, he was looking like the next player to bomb in Florida and play amazing once being traded, but he rots on the 4th line, and was a scratch in the second game this season. Reminds me of Jack Skille last year, 6 minutes a night, one night gets 15 minutes and scores 2 goals, and gets demoted again. Q playing favorites?

Can someone explain how I'm wrong?

I've asked it before and I don't get it either. If Pirri can just be decent centering the 2nd line, just decent, average, able to hold his own, look how much that opens up everything else.

Meanwhile the guy centering the 2nd line over the 1st 3 games is +2 1G and 4 assists. Damn we better replace him quick.

Point out where I mentioned Kane? And who's to say he wouldn't be more effective in his natural position?

So your saying bring up Pirri to play 10 minutes a game on the 4th line then?

You didn't, however where would Pirri go? I believe he is a more skilled player than role. Kruger fits role player to a "T'". With Carcillo filling a spot, no room for the rookie who should get tons of ice time out West with the Hog. So, I believe it would be a waste for him to learn a role sitting on the 4th line not doing much.

Toews...doing great as usual, Kaner...suprising the hell out of me on the 2nd line, Bolland...don't mess with the Rat...

So, i figure the only place Pirri should be is in the minors waiting for his turn up here.

Don't fix what ain't broken.

Pirri would center the second line with Hossa. Kane is back with Toews, as it seems Q still doesn't really figure that one out until months into the season. Brunette Sharp and Frolik could rotate between the top 3 lines. You could always go back to putting one of the best offensive wingers in the game at center if you have to, but I'd say let him play in the role in which he is best at in a situation which also allows Sharp to play in the role that best suits him as a winger. Nothing else would be affected. You'd keep Bolland in his best spot as 3rd line center with Bickell, Carcillo is a 4th liner, you could put Kruger at center for 4th liner or Mayers and then you still got Olesz who could be one of those jack of all trades, play any line in a pinch.

Q is still an idiot but the Kane experiment does seem to working. Hoss and him are looking deadly.

Just looking at Hossa taking two defenders to him everytime he comes across the blueline makes room for kaner...but now with Carcillo making even more room by going to the net...I have never seen Kane that open at the circle to bury a puck!

I don't know where Pirri would play? Krugers last two games at 4th line Center have been pretty good. The 2nd line, probably the best on the ice last night hands down. Kane 71% in the circle, 1g, 1a and the first star. Even double shifting at times.

Olesz looked like ass last night. So you where do you put him?

I don't get the Q's a dumb ass unless he's playing musical lines as he did in game #1. The team came out last night like a team that had FIVE days off. Once they got their funk on was the game really in question? I mean they were down 2-0.

I'd rather have PK centering the 2nd line than Pirri right now. Wow did I just say that? I did.

We are going to be arguing Kane at center vs Kane at winger all season.

Until he shows something about NOT being able to play there I think there's little argument. All the good things he's doing on the ice is going to be hard to disagree with. He wants to prove he can do it. If he's a point per game, and that good in the circle, he's done it.

Oh and Pirri blows hard in the circle.

If he proves over a larger sample size he can do it, it'll be a no brainer. He becomes a center. I would just never think they would go that route to start off the season seeing as what he's done playing wing along with Pirri's strong preseason. That's taking nothing away from him like some would say, it's just he's one of the best at wing in the entire league, you would think it would be a sure thing that's where he would play. We'll see I guess. If it works they're probably in an even better situation than ever. They would've instantly transformed a position of little depth to one of amazing talent down the middle, barring injury.

Again, barring injury, what other 3 centers in the league, on the same team, would be comparable to Toews, Kane and Bolland? The only 3 I can think of are Crosby, Malkin and Staal.

Argue what? Kane being productive at Center? What is to complain about? When Sharp was at center, he was having problems finding the net with the puck...when he is with Toews on the wing...no problems at all.

Oh, RK...I saw that face off percentage yesterday and was trying to figure out how the winger with little size is doing it so well above anyone else in the league...but then again, its Kaner and he has a lot more to offer than I thought.

Well, the Hawks have a Hall of Famer Center in #18 that didn't have size and did a very good job...lets see if Kaner can do the same.

Other than a high sticking call, I don't see how Olesz was an ass. I still think he needs more ice time, or he will always be looked at as an overpaid flop. Maybe test him out on the PP?
