I might have to re-watch the whole thing. Still, it looked like Carbomb thought, "I have no clue what to do with Hossa and Kane, so I'll let them do their thing and just hit everything that moves." And thus it looked like he was lost--not innefective, just lost.

Still, if it works there's no real need to fix it.

Carcillo had 4 hits in his first shift alone and I counted at least 5 more after that even though they only credited him with 4 totoal. That's a HUGE boost for players like Kane and Hossa when they have a guy out there like that. It makes the other team start worrying a bit and getting rid of the puck quicker (creating turnovers) when they know someone like Carcillo is on the ice.

Kaners back checking has been unreal. Another are of his game that's just been outstanding in growth. He swiped the puck at least three times last night again.

Call me a homer... or even worse things lol... but this year Kaner could score 100 points if he keeps up with how he's been playing. Duede looks like a maniac this year.

He'd have had 100 or close last year if not for the ankle issue. He needs to stay healthy. Which really is the key for all of them.

Personally, I think if any player is having a monster year so far, it has to be Bolland.

Doesn't count. He may get hurt at some point during the season. Possibly even multiple times. All of his stats and achievements are void.

Because Kruger is Bowmans "picked em out of a euro league and going to take a gamble" player. I doubt Q made the decision all on his own with this one. I don't care right now though. As long as the Hawks keep winning then I am a happy camper. Once Kruger starts causing the Hawks to lose games then I will voice my concern as I too do not think he is fully NHL ready yet. I don't think some north american seasoning on the farm would hurt the guy. But so far so good..hasn't caused us any loses on the ice.

Pirri is far from done as a Hawk. The kid will get his call up and get his chances. I am sure he is well aware of this and the Hawks have made it clear to him. Pirri is a future..lots of time.

who cares? Bolland is a playoff guy. I look at him like I used to look at Forsberg: Will only play 55 games a year, but when it's the playoffs, he will step up and win you games. If Bolland played one more game in the playoffs last year, we would have beat Vancouver. He comes back, and it's a complete 180.

That's how key he is. Another reason I was so pissed Kubina got only two games. For what was clearly a cheap shot long after the play had gone the other way. Cost the Hawks big time.

Bolland is a game changer no doubt about it.

That Kubina hit on Bolland pissed me off as well. Especially as blatantly cheap as it was. It should have been more than 2 games.

Kubina did end up getting cuncussed in last years playoffs, I think in the 1st rnd missing quite a bit of time.

Kruger has looked better and better every game.

Unfortunately for him he has a couple of anchors attached to him on his line. Revolving door of goons.

He's doing everything he can by himself, after watching him last night I thought to myself "I wonder what he would look like with some real linemates".. sucks for him. He carried his line all night and had virtually no help from Mayers or Scott, if anything they impeded a lot of progress.

The only question in my mind about Olesz is how much longer until he is wearing the same jersey as Cristobal. Then Stan will have about 7 mill in cap space, which probably translates into about two decent players added in February. Two weeks ago, i would have said Stan would finally get Hossa a center. But now it looks like Kaner has that job. And also, our 5/6 d men pairing looks solid. But i do think the Hawks are intentionally leaving cap space to make moves later in the season, we just have to wait to see what our need is and who is available.

He wouldn't have to wear the same jersey. All you have to do is waive him. You waive him you have 7 mil in Cap Space.

That flight had an important mission. I was on my way down to the Ketel for a draft Hoegarden. My fave choice at the UC. We'll have to catch up next time for sure.

If put on waivers, i seriously doubt any body picks up Olesz given his cap hit. So can we just assign him to Rockford at that point? Anybody know?

So why is he not waived?

Not being a smart ass, but actually wondering.
