I find it fantastic that some Bears fans are complaining about a QB stat line of

71% completion

316 yards

10.19 average

3 TDs

1 INT

and RAT of 122.5

My how far we've come

and most of that was in one half of football........the detractors are running out of stuff to complain about.....

Place as compared to qualifiers.....

70% completion.....4th in the League

7.8 avg yards.....9th

TDs........12th.....almost everyone ahead of him had an extra game to play

INTs....only 6 QBs have less INTs

Rating....7th highest

It is time to start coming to the realization that we have someone who is developing into a franchise QB.......

They're 3-3 and in a tie for first.

So what?

The first game of the season they were down 21-6

Second game they were down 14-0

Third game they were down 20-6

And he threw 1-2 ints in all those games digging them that hole

His high passing yardage is fools gold

You also thought Watson was better and wanted Bears should have drafted him over Mitch.

Merely said Watson was doing far better than Trubisky last year which he was. Just facts here, pal. Ya know, the thing that scares you people most.

Mitch is already a statistical top 10 QB in the NFL. Obviously he isn’t actually a top 10 QB yet but if he keeps up this development the sky is the limit for this kid.

I watched but wonder exactly what others watched. Still misses wide open receivers and his long ball might be the most inaccurate in the league. I also don’t see the offense moving as effortlessly as you seem to. Maybe when provided a short 10 yard field after a turnover.

Brock Osweiler had good numbers too. Did you think he looked like a good qb? Eli Manning has had relatively good numbers this year but if you have actually seen him play you’d be left wondering why the Giants don’t just move on from him already.

Osweilers yards were all YAC on the patented Gase WR screen. It was horseshit effort and tackling. I think the outcome is clouding your judgement or you didn’t watch.

As if Trubisky doesn’t rely on YAC and throw an over abundance of short stuff. 2 big runs by Howard in OT to get the ball in Miami territory and Nagy preferred a long fg attempt to asking Trubisky to pass the ball. Should tell you all you need to know.

I don't care how well he threw a deep pass, Grossman was terrible in every other way at the position. and anyone that CONTINUES to praise him was wrong then, they're wrong now, and will continue to be wrong.

LOL, everyone was wrong regardless if who they backed.

:lmao:

see, if you all think now is bad, look back to 10 years ago. that was pretty F-ing bad. to make it worse they dumped Griese and he put up 400 yards in his revenge game, and put Orton back in early against Packers 1 and they got raped.

I then braved the coldest game ever and watched the Packers lose. I guess it wasn't so bad, they were still able to do that for a time.

To have YAC you have to be accurate to hit your receiver in stride. The fact that he has a lot of YAC is actually a really good thing genius

Lol. "He's not the winner people think." They're tied for first. "So what." Good stuff. He had almost as many rushing yards as Lamar Miller. That offense is literally Watson and hopkins. Fuller is garbage without Watson. He goes out, Watson makes coutee look good. He turns the ball over a lot, we know, but he has to carry that offense with hopkins. You look like a fool saying otherwise.

Houston has a really good football team and they are tied for first in the worst division in football. Watson’s TO are alarming and costing them games. You should try watching a game instead of looking at yardage stats. I said Watson’s not a winner because he turns the ball over too much. He leads the league in TOs and read zone picks. This Can’t happen.

He also already has 2 ACL tears. 1 more and I think he’s done with football. Very few guys come back from 3 ACL tears.

Oddly enough I was not impressed by the Tampa Bay game. Like they say in the South... it was like shootin crabs in a barrel --- ZERO pass rush and weak DB play left wide open receivers all game long. Trubs could sit back there, have a cup of coffee and leisurely make all the throws. I was not particularly impressed.

But yesterday..................

For the first time I saw him hang in the pocket.... even step into the pocket at times. Granted the pressure was not great but it was definitely better than Tampa Bay. Giving credit where credit is due, the Bears Oline did a tremendous job yesterday for the most part.... but Trubs did not have his usual rabbit feet and for the first time started to look like a real NFL QB.

There is hope after-all......

That said, he still misses too many long/intermediate and deep throws (that one to Gabriel early comes to mind - wide open and was behind the secondary - would have likely gone for 6) - Trubs missed that one badly - was not even close. And that costly INT in the red zone was a boneheaded throw.... but I can excuse that one as growing pains so that one does not bother me as much. Lets just hope he gets it corrected.

Still too early to tell.............. but I like what I have seen recently from Trubs. As long as he can continue like he did yesterday and hang in the pocket and work on correcting his long throws, we just might have a real QB on our hands.

Hes showing me enough for me to maintain the belief that he'll really start to hit his strides around weeks 8 or 9 of his second season, this being it of course, once he develops the skill & memory/recall to reel off any play in the playbook, on his own like it's a reflex.

Trubisky is top 5 in balls completed 20 yards in the air.

Nagy was too conservative to be sure. I don’t have confidence in your conclusion.
