My favorite teams
S'all good man.
the Terror on FX
That was an odd show. I'm a bit of an explorer (and Franklin) geek.
I feel like she had a hand in helping him become Saul Goodman. She had him help her do shady stuff
100% agree one of the worst shows I didn’t last after two episodes
Yes! My buddy picked the eps for me to watch, including The Waldo Moment (animated bear), and I was blown away. Very riveting stuff.black mirror has a couple episodes that are duds, but most are really good and a few are fucking phenomenal. If it didn't click with you, I would suggest giving it some time and coming back to it.
A horror fan of mine gave it 10/10. I'll check it out. It's written and directed by Mike Flanagan, and I like his work, particularly Hush and Ouija: Origin of Evil.Yeah, I watched more of the Haunting of Hill House. I'm at episode 5 or 6 now and my opinion has not changed a lot.
The story is pretty good. Engaging and suspenseful. Pulled me in. Strong creep vibe to me. Its my favorite kind of scary - not big scary monsters tearing shit up or whatever, but more subtle shit that is just outta place at the edges. Some jump scares, but more about being creepy, which I appreciate. Some effects here and there are bad enough to be distracting but whatever.
The dialog is terrible tho. With the adult actors, its just awkward and jarring now and then. But the dialog for the kids is so fucking terrible. Like laugh out loud/cringe. Its really too bad cause the show pulls you in, then they have a scene with the kids or adults trying to be emotional or heartfelt and you squirm from cringe or burst out laughing and it breaks all the tension and pulls you out. Seems like the actors are mostly doing their best with shit writing (except for a couple of the kids that are terrible).
Overall, show is worth a watch imo. Its entertaining, just a shame the dialog is so bad. Its bizarre to me that a flaw this glaring makes it through production.
