I think we’re going to have to worry about Jordan Love being great, guys.

Packers won't win a superbowl with him as qb. In my view, as a Bears fan, he is THE PERFECT GB QB: good enough to ensure mediocrity but poor enough to ensure no championships. I hope Love is their QB for the next 15 years.

I have never seen a quarterback throw up more ducks than Love. He is the most overrated quarterback in the NFC. We don't have to worry about him being great, he is a top 15-20 quarterback at the very best.
Yet, if you listen to the sports media or game announcers, he is the greatest ever

Packers as a whole skated by a few games this year with unbelievable luck vs some terrible teams. Titans and first game vs Chicago automatically come to mind.

Jordan Love is fine.

Just good enough for the Packers to hold onto.

Just mediocre enough to not be the reason the Packers win.

It’s honestly best case scenario for Packer haters. Love will be around in GB for a long time, but doubt he becomes a top 10 QB at any point.

When I first saw him play I figured he would be a bust, but he slowly started improving and toward the end of last season went on a big run and improved his accuracy. This year he's made another leap and seems to have solved his deep ball issues and generally in solid command of the offense.

The problem is he isn't elite, and his routinely exposed by better teams, in some ways like Mitch was the last season he was with the Bears. He had six completions against the Lions in a half with only 45 yards. Against the Vikings he laid another egg. He also throws way too many bad balls that lead to pick sixes.

He rarely gets pressured but if his line has some injuries I think he would be badly exposed.

Overall I see him as Kirk Cousins type player with excellent play calling and good pieces around him.

Yep - I've been saying this since the beginning of the Jordan Love Love-fest/Bears fear porn.

He's good, not great. He's vintage Andy Dalton or Carson Palmer; good enough to keep, bad enough to never allow them to win anything.

He's a Top 15-18 QB at best. I predict Caleb will surpass him next year.
Love
Passing Yds: 3,389

Interceptions 11
Rating 96.7

Williams

Granted Love played less games, however it's closer than you think.

Exactly. Get Caleb a legit playcaller, cut the sacks in half by improving oline, and get a real RB and suddenly we're gonna see this:
Yds: 4,000++
TDs: 30
INTs: 10
Rating: 95-100

LaFleur goes out of his way to limit the amount of times the ball is in Jordan Love's hands. There has to be a reason for that.

I’m nitpicking a little. I get what you mean. Carson Palmer was a really good player though. I wouldn’t put him and Dalton in the same group together.

Palmer was more like how we look at Herbert. I can’t think of a modern version of Dalton. It defintely wasn’t on that level though. I don’t mean that as a knock on Dalton. But he never had the pure talent of those two.

Carson Palmer before his leg injury was one of the best QBs in the nfl

I can't really shit-talk Jordan Love too much. He would by far be the greatest Bears QB of all time if he were in Chicago (or he would completely collapse without a great coach and support).

I do think Caleb Williams will surpass him at some point soon, depending on what happens with the Bears coaching situation. But until that happens, I'm not going to be treating that as just some foregone conclusion. The Bears have to show it. Caleb Williams is going to have to show it.

Going 13 TDs, 0 INTs in the Red Zone in a dumpster fire of an offense while also having a nearly 4-to-1 TD-to-INT rate does make me hopeful. Jordan Love isn't getting those numbers in the Bears offense, no chance.
