Ridiculous commentHe did right and they will trade him and he will go win somewhere else and be great there.

Whut? The only starter on this team that you could consider a higher end starter in the league at 30+ is Keenen Allen at 32 years old. The only other starters at 30+ are Kevin Byard, Matt Pryor and Demarcus Walker, all of which are totally replaceable. The only other starters at 29 are Andrew Billings and Coleman Shelton. This is a young team.Harsh fact is this team probably needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Too many aging veterans, too few up-and-comers at the premium positions. The Bears really don’t have any game breakers aside from DJ Moore, who only tries when he really wants to and btw will be 28 years old next year.
Montez Sweat is 28 and clearly breaking down physically. The fact is 30 is just an arbitrary number made by fans, a lot of guys go cooked well before then. The competitive window of this roster is basically over.Whut? The only starter on this team that you could consider a higher end starter in the league at 30+ is Keenen Allen at 32 years old. The problem is not age, it's elite talent. Jaylon Johnson is the only one you can say for sure is a top 10 starter at his position in the league. The only other one that might be there is DJ Moore, otherwise you really don't have anyone else even in that conversation (Kyler Murray if you're going to consider nickelback it's own position outside of cornerback in general).
Whut again? Sweat's been battling a calf injury all year which affects burst. There's no evidence to suggest he's breaking down physically.Montez Sweat is 28 and clearly breaking down physically. Damn, you...are ...a... moronHe did right and they will trade him and he will go win somewhere else and be great there.
Who's the long snapper? Probably an aging vetWhut again? Sweat's been battling a calf injury all year which affects burst. There's no evidence to suggest he's breaking down physically.
But you said "aging vets." Care to name any more than the ones I listed other than Sweat?
First off, name the actual really standout NFL players on the Bears. Really there’s only one, DJ Moore who like it or not has some motivation issues and its an objective fact that he’ll be in his late-twenties next year.Whut again? 28years old is not old for a wide receiver. Receivers usually don’t fall off until 32. They aren’t running backs you knowHarsh fact is this team probably needs to be torn down and rebuilt. I heard Brady was breaking down physically in 2008 when he tore his ACL. I believe the Pats cut him because he was too old and couldn’t be counted on anymore. #truestoryFirst off, name the actual really standout NFL players on the Bears. And then just remark at how kinda stupid it is to be like “this guy has just been battling an injury all year that has affected his play dramatically, how dare you say he’s breaking down physically”.
No way are the Bears taking on a $31 million dead cap hit for trading him. After 2025, it drops to $10 million. This offseason..................
If you have to reach for the freakazoid who refused to eat a strawberry and played until his forty-five to prove the point then wellI heard Brady was breaking down physically in 2008 when he tore his ACL. Who's more emo right now @DanielCCSBears or @Montucky ?The blubber branes of CCS are truly on one today.
This. As a veteran player Johnson acted out for his teammates. It’s what needed to be done. Maybe Warren and Poles need to find a coach with the same time of emotion and attitude. He wants to win, it needed to be done, I am sure the players respected what he did, he will not do that to someone like Thomas Brown or Vrabel. I don’t think he is going anywhere
I'm the one that made that argument, that age isn't an issue, it's the lack of true superstars on the team.First off, name the actual really standout NFL players on the Bears. But it is. He played great last year and now has a soft tissue nagging injury, much like how hamstring injuries can linger for a long time without sustained rest. That's what he's going through right now. If it continues into next year or something similar crops up, then you'll have a point. And then just remark at how kinda stupid it is to be like “this guy has just been battling an injury all year that has affected his play dramatically, how dare you say he’s breaking down physically”.
My guess is Poles and company want a guy like Johnson on their team.He did right and they will trade him and he will go win somewhere else and be great there.
