If you could only choose one in free agency?

Pick your $15-20M Poison

  • Keenan Allen (Basically a TE at this stage, but still a good WR3 and security blanket for Caleb)

  • Khalil Mack (History with DC and team, good offense potential and finish his career)

  • Haason Reddick (Younger than Mack with likely similar output opposite Sweat)

  • Trey Smith (Elite Right Guard from perennial contender)

Yeah in today's NFL great players don't drop to the 6th round (pick #226) because of an injury when the success rate coming back from serious injuries isn't as bad as it used to be. I guess this is something we won't know until 2-3 years down the raod anyway.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding your meaning here, but the Smith injury wasn't the garden variety ACL or whatever type of injury. It was blood clots forming in his lungs ( second time I think ). Not the type of thing the NFL is used to dealing with. I'm sure there were teams that took him off their draft board and others that were very weary of him.

from his 2nd year in college

Im not a big fan of chase young, but he has history with out DC and was 7th in the league per PFF in pressures for edge rushers

If the price is right, I wouldnt mind it.
PFR has his pressures much lower

34 is still a good amount

Per PFR, Thats as much as Danielle Hunter, more than Rashan Gary, Jared Verse, Joey Bosa, and Khalil Mack. All 5 which made the pro bowl.

Saints fans don’t really seem interested in him coming back, especially considering he rarely gives full effort. I highly doubt the front office wants another loafer in the locker room as well as Dennis Allen wanting to bring a guy in that didn’t listen to him (Allen lost all of the locker room)

Same exact issues he was known for with Wash. I'll pass.
