I'm not 100% sure, but I thought some writer on Twitter said he may have came down with the flu

Not to mention that the guy who replaced him, Morrison, factored in on the scoring tonight...so I don't get the complaint.

Hawks got outhit. Yawn. They always get outhit. Not their style of play.
Getting outhit 50-32 isn't a good thing.

I know you and others believe that skill wins, and it does often times. There has to be a medium of intimidation from the Blackhawks because teams aren't afraid of their physical presence. Certainly Phoenix isn't.

Not only are the Blackhawks not physical, they aren't using their skill on the PP to convert on Phoenix's aggressiveness.

They try to be fancy, they just need to throw it at the net. Look what it did with the Canucks. They threw the puck at the net and they deflected past quick.

The Hawks physical presence has nothing to do with their shitty defense, bad passing, and God-awful power play.

If they're not going to try on PPs to go to the net, they may as well get physical. They don't need to be John Scott out there, but teams are not afraid of the Blackhawks. And the coaching seemed content all season to let it ride out and work itself out.

Jesse Rogers:

Q on telling Mayers he was sitting: "Kind of hit him hard."

And a gem from Crawdaddy:

Craw: “I have no clue. Once I see the replay I’ll figure out how that went in.”

Didn't like him cracking his stick after the first goal. He's done that a few times this year. That's not a good sign.

Physical play has never been the only way to scare a hockey team.

Speed and skill can be just as terrifying.

they need skilled player(s) that hit. They do not have that. A guy like dustin brown would be ideal for a team like this.

Obviously the Blackhawks' speed and skill haven't terrified the Coyotes.

If the Power play isn't working, try being physical. Obviously a skill guy like Kane won't lay much wood, but Bickell, O'Donnell, Mayers and others can do that. The Blackhawks need to find an identity, they don't need to be goons, and they don't need to be Charmin soft either.

The elite skill they had has faded a bit.

I never want to see those three players anywhere near the power play.
