Joe threw off the entire lineup with the double switches when he put Heyward in the pitchers spot.

All Chapman asked for were clean innings. So if he is going to pitch the 8th, he needs to start the 8th inning.

Normally I would agree with giving Rizzo a night off, but not the leader of this team. The plays Javy is making at second are not balls that Zobrist is going to get to.

Who does 2015 Rizzo compare to? .188 BA 2 RBI being a couple of solo shots. He hasn't gotten it done in the playoffs yet, unfortunately. I hate the choke tag, because he's a very good player and it's a small sample size. Baez and Soler carried the Cubs lineup last year.

Until he proves otherwise, choke is appropriate. It's now two straight seasons. Something like 4-50 combined. 0 for so far through 3 games. He's looked horrible at the plate two. Striking out and swinging at garbage. He's pressing.

Regardless. A guy that is a coin toss for the MVP shouldn't be choking this badly in the post season.

Cubs let a golden opportunity slip through their fingers last night/this morning. Thankfully, they still have two more chances to win this series. 3-0 leads must be held, though.

You act 3-0 leads are automatic wins. 3-0 early leads are no guarantee of success... This is MLB, not soccer.

In a playoff game with Arrieta (and later a pretty good bullpen) on the mound against a mediocre offense, it should be.

This isn't some regular season game up at Coors Field. This is a playoff game where blown opportunities usually come back to haunt you.

I'd say Aramis Ramírez. Terrible in both 2007 and 2008....like 2 for 24 or something in the two series and 0 for the series in 2007.

Rizzo isn't the only one to ever go south in the playoffs....speaking of small sample size, I think this year marks only the second time the Cubs have been in the playoffs in back to back seasons.

Maybe you didn't notice....this is not last year's Jake. He's been very hit-able for months. You might want to watch a few games other than the playoffs.

I'll be cheering for Lackey a little more than I was the last time he pitched in an NLDS game 4.

That reason is one of the smaller reasons I wanted to get Andrew Miller instead of Chapman. Oh well.
Me too, cause when Chapman starts losing his speed and that won't be long he will look like last night. Miller is built for the long run

He's strictly a rental. After this season, his arm could fall off for all I care....
